Senior IT Developer Position (CA 2E, RPG, SYNON 2E)
\nBased in Isando – Gauteng
\nSalary – R 46 615 TCTC includes benefits<\/p>\n
A market leader the car rental sector is looking for an experienced and highly competent and professional Senior Developer with , the incumbent\u2019s responsibility is to ensure that system quality and integrity is maintained to the highest standards, the individual will create a reliable and user friendly application system which will be produced in designated timelines and to specification.
\nThe successful candidate must have:
\n\u2022 Matric
\n\u2022 Relevant tertiary education
\n\u2022 RPG knowledge
\n\u2022 4 \u2013 5 Years experience as a CA 2E Developer
\n\u2022 MS Office Proficiency<\/p>\n
Your busy and challenging day will include but not limited to:
\n\u2022 Interpret detailed technical specifications and develop applications as specified
\n\u2022 Produce application documentation and maintain documentation standards at all times
\n\u2022 Adhere to architectural and coding standards
\n\u2022 Develop applications that deliver measurable business value to customers
\n\u2022 Test units in accordance with quality assurance guidelines
\n\u2022 Deliver quality code as per functional specification and within predetermined time frame
\n\u2022 Provide an excellent level of service to internal and external customers at all times
\n\u2022 Ensure system quality and integrity is maintained to the highest standards<\/p>\n
Knowledge:
\n\u2022 Knowledge of software development cycle (SDLC)
\n\u2022 Understanding of project life cycle
\n\u2022 Understanding of the theory of IBM iSeries (AS400), DB2 and CA 2E (SYNON 2E) development environment
\n\u2022 Basic Networking<\/p>\n

\n\u2022 Ability to problem solve
\n\u2022 Produce quality work in line with best practice solutions
\n\u2022 Able to work quickly and accurately
\n\u2022 Work within a team to achieve results
\n\u2022 Good communication skills both written and verbal
