The Audit Manager: Data Analytics and IT supports the Executive: Audit Services in the establishment and enhancement of the Internal Audit and Forensic Investigations team\u2019s data analytics capabilities. The role will focus on the design, development and implementation of solutions to support a data driven audit approach into all parts of the audit lifecycle in order to meet objectives by creating stakeholder value, improving efficiencies and enhancing assurance efforts.<\/p>\n

\nDuties and Responsibilities:<\/strong>
\nEstablish a technology base in support of data-driven assurance and continuous auditing approach to the internal audit function.
\nProvide data analytics within combined assurance reviews and audit projects in collaboration with auditors and management.
\nDevelop and enhance a library of custom data analytics appropriate for specific processes, risks and controls.
\nDevelop and maintain data analytics, build dashboards for visualization and identify trends, increasing efficiency and effectiveness of audits.
\nDevelop and maintain scheduled and automated data analytics for follow-up processes to ensure continuous audit monitoring.
\nIdentify and extract transaction populations for sampling, test full populations and automated testing of controls.
\nAssist the team with assurance projects, ensuring accuracy of the data and calculations.
\nPerform IT audit reviews
\nMaintain appropriate IT systems and additional tools within the internal audit and forensics function that supports and enhances automated audit and investigation processes.
\nCollaborate with forensic auditors to develop specific data analytics that support investigative procedures and the proactive identification of fraud and bypassing or failure of controls.<\/p>\n
\nBachelor\u2019s degree in informatics\/Data Science, BSc Computer Science or relevant degree
\nCISA, CIA, CA(SA) qualification an added advantage
\nOther relevant data and analytics certifications
\nSound knowledge of data analytics (data gathering, transformation, modelling, analytical execution, visualisation and reporting)
\nMinimum 5 years working experience in data and analytics\/Internal\/IT\/External audits
\nMinimum 2 years at supervisor level in leading audit analytics engagements
\nKnowledge and use of analytic tools, SAP, Teammate or similar audit software
\nBasic to intermediate accounting, auditing, risk and control principles
\nAudit experience, independently performing IT and data driven audits from planning to reporting phases.
\nKnowledge of general business processes is essential and experience within the Mining Industry would be an advantage.

\nReporting on review progress, challenges and solutions to address business assurance needs
\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills essential.
