The Online Programme Success Tutor is responsible and accountable for the overall effective and efficient academic student support, success and retention rates of RC Distance students within designated programmes. Additional responsibility relates to the support of the IIE learning strategies to promote student engagement and success<\/p>\n

Job Title: Programme Success Tutor-Commerce(Digital Business)<\/strong> Job Summary:<\/strong> Lecturing at least one module to a minimum of 2 groups online. Lesson preparation, marking and moderation as required. Minimum research commitment of an action research project dealing with Online related issues that have something to do with the RC Distance context. Conduct Lecturer Orientation\/Induction sessions; Conduct student Orientation Workshops. Assist with the recruitment process for tutors for allocated programmes; Competencies:<\/strong><\/p>\n Solid and proven management, administrative and\/or operational experience.

\nConduct Lecturer Forum Meetings;
\nAttend Faculty Workshops;
\nPlanning and facilitation of Online Tutor Programme meetings.
\nCo-ordinate subject specific Tutorials.
\nEnsure Online Tutors integrate appropriate student support services into the classroom based on learner needs
\nPeer Reviewing assigned Online Tutors
\nStudent Support<\/p>\n
\nConduct student Development Workshops (Plagiarism; Study Skills, Numeracy and Literacy Skills, etc.);
\nPlan and facilitate WRP\/WIL sessions.
\nParticipate in Online Town Hall Sessions
\nConduct class visits and consult with Online Students as needed
\nAnalyse and track student performance and implement appropriate interventions
\nIdentify and implement interventions for At-Risk Students.
\nIntegrate online student support services asynchronously and synchronously as required
\nProvide input regarding PIPO for specific programmes; Manage disputes and complaints between Online Tutors and students.
