Senior Commercial Secretary Position with exposure to the mining sector
\nBased in Sandton CBD – Gauteng
\nA leading and reputable law firm in South Africa is seeking an experienced, professional and organized Senior Commercial Secretary who will be able to handle copious amounts of pressure.
\nThe successful candidate must have
\n\u2022 Relevant Secretarial \/ Office administration Diploma
\n\u2022 Minimum of 8\u201310 years secretarial and office Administration experience in a commercial environment
\n\u2022 Working experience in a law firm (Essential)
\n\u2022 working experience in the mining industry (Advantage)
\n\u2022 Proficiency in MS Office 2007 \/ 2010, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
\n\u2022 Excellent typing skills, speed and accuracy \u2013 typing speed \u2013 60wpm
\n\u2022 Work overtime as and when required<\/p>\n
Your busy and challenging day will include but not limited to:
\n\u2022 Diary management, co-ordination of appointments and travel arrangements
\n\u2022 Client interaction both verbally and written
\n\u2022 Telephone duties: effective screening and problem resolution
\n\u2022 Typing all correspondence, agreements and litigious documents (including Dictaphone typing)
\n\u2022 Maintaining an efficient and effective departmental filing system
\n\u2022 Office management
\n\u2022 Assistance in function organization and\/or client arrangements
\n\u2022 Account management including amendments, itemised billing, draft accounts, adjustments and final accounts
\n\u2022 General administration \u2013 filing, e-mails, faxes
\n\u2022 Posting of fees, invoicing and collection of outstanding accounts
\nPersonality profile of the successful candidate:
\n\u2022 Initiative – Shows initiative by taking action to achieve goals on a proactive basis
\n\u2022 Planning and organizing – Prioritizes and manages schedule within a pressurized environment
\n\u2022 Work Standards – Produces accurate and timeous results and sets high goals or standards of performance
\n\u2022 Flexibility – Is able to work overtime occasionally and able to adapt and embrace change
\n\u2022 Communication written and verbal – Able to communicate well with clients and colleagues and express ideas clearly, correct grammar, spelling
\n\u2022 Organized and able to handle copious amounts of pressure
\n\u2022 Accurate and efficient<\/p>\n
