Minimum Requirements<\/p>\n
Qualification(s) :
\nAppropriate Bachelors of Science Degree or equivalent
\nRelevant post graduate management qualifications will be an e.g. MBA\/MBL
\nExperience:
\nMinimum 8 years management experience within the electrical utility industry
\nExperience in a production planning and optimisation and forecasting environment would be preference
\nSkills and Competencies<\/p>\n
Business understanding and acumen, with particular reference to the electricity
\nExcellent leadership skills with the ability to communicate effectively, at executive level
\nGeneral management skills
\nAbility to establish the necessary organisation and business processes
\nNegotiation and networking skills
\nStrong interpersonal skills
\nExcellent communication skills
\nAbility to analyse trends, to forecast potential business outcomes and to develop suitable response strategies over the short to medium term
\nInvestment analysis skills
\nMathematical and computer modelling capability
\nKey Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Provides strategic business leadership for Eskom’s energy planning capability and decision making
\nManage the Long-term and Medium term energy plan development
\nManage production optimization development
\nManages the resources (human and monetary) of the energy planning
\nPerforms communication and relationship management both internally and externally
