\nBasic duties include but are not limited to full debtors\u2019, creditors and bookkeeper functions as defined below:
\nClient and vendor payment approvals and allocations
\nCustomer collections including the control of any automated collection system such as the bank\u2019s ACB module.
\nBanking status and reconciliations
\nEnsuring SARS, Bank and any other documentation required is completed in order to efficiently run the business (e.g. Bank guarantees)
\nCredit Applications
\nSales and stock reporting and analysis and reconciliations
\nEnsuring client and vendor queries are efficiently resolved
\nResolving legacy queries
\nPayroll submissions to Payroll department and calculation of commission
\nStock reconciliations and stock takes (Physical count and\/or Capture on Pastel Evolution)
\nCashbook reconciliations
\nJournal entries and reconciliations
\nGeneral ledger reconciliations
\nFixed Asset control
\nCreating and processing of Purchase Orders, Stock receipts, Picking Slips, Invoices, Returns and other documents required
\nEnsuring all supporting documents are received and saved on the vertical server for record keeping
\nElectronic Banking Administration and Foreign payments
\nDocument Administration
\nPolicies and Procedures Administration and implementation
\nElectronic Database Administration
\nMonthly full stock takes
\nDaily stock cycle counts
\nTrial Balance & management accounts reporting
\nStatutory returns reconciled and submitted.
\nEnsuring data integrity of the company\u2019s accounting system
\nEnsuring subordinates are tasked correctly and accurately and reporting on such activities.
\nEnsuring all personnel that are assigned duties fulfil them accurately and quickly with form timelines given.
\nOther duties and responsibilities will be added on according to the needs of the company when required
\nTaking ownership of the companies assigned to you and ensuring proper management of accounts
\nDaily processing of all cashbooks
\nDaily processing of all documentation according to company requirements
\nDaily cash-ups of control of retail transactions
\nDebtors and creditors reconciliations
\nManage debtors\u2019 collections
\nCreditors payments
\nTimorous completion of all reconciliations and payments
\nNegotiating and booking of rates on forward exchange contracts
\nNotify suppliers of FEC\u2019s booked
\nControlling all company documentation according to specified system
\nEnsure all monthly and weekly deadlines are met
\nPrepare management accounts on a monthly basis by the 9th of each month
\nFinalize month end figures for financials
\nPrepare and maintain trial balance and balance sheets
\nPrepare control and maintain asset register
\nAnalyse information regarding income and expenses from financials
\nReport variances of financials and do the necessary to rectify them
\nEnsure timorous payments of creditors
\nControlling and verifying the GP %
\nCalculate commissions for sales representatives
\nCalculate rebates
\nManage stock takes and verify variances
\nShould have knowledge of ethical accounting practices and ensure they are adhered to
\nShould have good oral and written communication skills.
\nAbility to efficiently lead, delegate and motivate subordinates.
\nAbility to work fast and accurate in high past environment
\nAbility to work on multiple companies
\nUnderstanding of Branch accounting for retail stores
