This is a nationally based role that forms part of the Old Mutual Finance Information Technology Team. The objective of this role is to define, develop, test, analyse, and maintain new software applications in support of the achievement of business requirements. This includes coding, testing and analysing software programs.<\/p>\n<p>Old Mutual Finance is currently seeking to hire an IT Software Engineer.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: IT Software Engineer<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location: <\/strong>Pinelands, Gauteng<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Summary:<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Main Responsibilities:<\/strong><br \/>\nConduct full System Design process.<br \/>\nDraft implementation plans, write programmes according to business specifications and conduct unit testing.<br \/>\nWork closely with Business Analysts to ensure sufficient clarification of specifications.<br \/>\nProvide coaching and mentoring to Junior Programmers.<br \/>\nContribute to Old Mutual Finance body of knowledge (Documentation, Wikis, How-To Guides).<br \/>\nIdentify inefficiencies and work towards continuous improvement of existing systems and\/or processes.<br \/>\nParticipate actively in Scrum delivery ceremonies (Stand-ups, Planning, Design Retrospectives and Reviews).<br \/>\nMinimum Requirements<br \/>\nA Matric or Grade 12 equivalent, relevant Tertiary Qualification as well as a minimum of 3 to 5 years\u2019 experience in a similar role.<\/p>\n<p>You will also need to have experience in working with the following technologies in an Agile environment:<\/p>\n<p>Java (3 &#8211; 4 years\u2019 experience at least)<br \/>\nRelational Databases<br \/>\nSQL<br \/>\nSource Control \u2013 Git<br \/>\nWeb servers (e.g. Tomcat, Jetty\/Netty)<br \/>\nWebservices (Soap and Rest)<br \/>\nXML<\/p>\n<p>Experience in the following will be advantageous<\/p>\n<p>ANT<br \/>\nDocker<br \/>\nHtml<br \/>\nCI\/CD (e.g. Jenkins)<br \/>\njQuery<br \/>\nKubernetes<br \/>\nMaven<br \/>\nObject Databases<br \/>\nPatterns<br \/>\nSpring Boot<br \/>\nUML<br \/>\nXSL<br \/>\nXSL:fo<\/p>\n<p><strong>Package &amp; Remuneration:<\/strong><br \/>\nMarket Related<\/p>\n<p><strong>To Apply:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pnet.co.za\/viewlets\/apply\/job-apply-form-viewlet\/authentication?listingId=3540279&amp;isMobile=false&amp;buttonPos=Sticky_Button&amp;locale=en_ZA&amp;rltr=&amp;source=listing\"><strong>Click Here!<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Disclaimer<br \/>\nOld Mutual Limited is pro-vaccination and encourages its workforce to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19.<\/p>\n<p>All prospective employees are required to disclose their vaccination status as part of the recruitment process.<\/p>\n<p>Please refer to the Old Mutual\u2019s Covid-19 vaccination policy for further detail.
