We have recently launched the 2013 intake for the Information Technology Business Learnership Programme (ITBLP). This Learnership provides talented youngsters from the previously disadvantaged communities withadvanced Information and Communication Technology training<\/strong>.We would like to invite you \u2013 as employees to share this information with possible candidates. This will not only enable usto capitalize on the vast amount of untapped talent in the Information Technology market, but it also indicates our contribution to skills development in the country. \u00a0<\/p>\n The ITBLP, in partnership with the Belgium Campus, offersa qualification of a high standard – aligned with the needs of the international IT industry. Learners receive a\u00a0Diploma in Information Technology, NQF level 6<\/strong>, with a total of 348 credits. The courseware includes the following courses: Programming Java; Computer Security; Mainframe; Programming, SharePoint and other specializations as required by companies.<\/p>\n The duration of the course is\u00a018 months<\/strong>\u00a0– comprised of 12 months of institutional training and 6 months in workplace training.<\/p>\n If vacant posts are available, employment may be offered upon successful completion of the course.<\/em><\/p>\n Admission requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n In order to qualify for the ITBLP, sponsored by\u00a0Bank Seta, Business Connexion, First National Bank, Gijima, IBM, MICT, Nedbank Ltd, South African Reserve Bank and Standard Bank<\/em>,\u00a0<\/strong>applicants have to meet the following admission requirements:<\/p>\n \u00fc\u00a0 Matric\/Grade 12<\/p>\n \u00fc\u00a0 Minimum entry requirements for higher education as set out by the Department of Education, with a National Senior Certificate score level 4,or higher in Mathematics and English (D Higher Grade or C Lower Grade.\u00a0Please note: Mathematical literacy, as a subject will not be considered<\/em>.)<\/p>\n \u00fc\u00a0 Willingness to study and stay in Gauteng Province<\/p>\n \u00fc\u00a0 Willingness to undergo screening assessments<\/p>\n \u00fc\u00a0 No bad credit rating<\/p>\n \u00fc\u00a0 No criminal record<\/p>\n \u00fc\u00a0 South African citizenship<\/p>\n
