Job Title: Senior Gross Margin Analyst<\/strong> Job Summary:<\/strong> Identify the relevant sources to account for relevant revenue streams Unearned and Prepaid revenue:<\/strong> Intercompany:<\/strong> Cost of sales activities:<\/strong> Month end closing and reporting activities:<\/strong> Process creation\/maintenance:<\/strong><\/p>\n Evaluate the need of official processes\/procedures for the tasks under responsibility and implement them with the collaboration of Continuous Engineering Reporting :<\/strong><\/p>\n Detailed variance analysis of income statement and balance against budget and prior month figures.

\nBilling and invoicing activities:<\/strong><\/p>\n
\nDefine specific information required from sources to account for revenue in accordance with IFRS.
\nImplement\/understand the processes required to produce revenue information on a monthly basis.
\nEnsure Monthly Bill Run is accurate and correct any discrepancies are escalated and rectified with IT.
\nEnsure chart of accounts on the raw Bill Run data are correctly mapped.
\nLiaise with billing department to ensure bill run is successfully closed.
\nIdentify, implement and perform required controls in the revenue processes to ensure accurate information is produced on a monthly basis.
\nDetermine and implement control indicators to validate monthly information during reporting (Fast Close) cycle.
\nCalculate and post relevant journals
\nReview accuracy and allocation of invoices
\nPerform correction and reallocations for incorrect invoices.<\/p>\n
\nCalculation of unearned revenue in accordance with IFRS and company policy.
\nCalculation of voucher discounts per channel type in line with channel agreements and recognition of discounts in accordance with IFRS standards.
\nEnsure correct discount rates are applied and investigate discrepancies.
\nEnsure accuracy of reallocation journals of monthly-prepaid usage.
\nManage all items relating to unearned and prepaid revenue on a month end basis.
\nPerform various reconciliations relating to voucher sales, unused vouchers, recharges, closing balances, voucher gross ups and free minutes.
\nProvide input for the accounting of new products.
\nMonitor margins on prepaid products and give reasons for the possible variances<\/p>\n
\nProcessing of monthly intercompany journals between separate entities as per Intercompany agreement.
\nGenerate monthly intercompany invoices.
\nPreparation of intercompany invoice schedule to be submitted to tax specialist.
\nEnsure accuracy of intercompany transactions before trial balance close deadline.<\/p>\n
\nIdentify the relevant sources to account for relevant cost of sales items.
\nDefine specific information required from sources to account for costs in accordance with IFRS.
\nImplement\/understand the processes required to produce cost information on a monthly basis.
\nIdentify, implement and perform required controls in the processes to ensure accurate information is produced on a monthly basis.
\nDetermine and implement control indicators to validate monthly information during reporting (Fast Close) cycle.
\nCommunicate accrued amounts and to the Commercial department and\/or vendors for invoicing.
\nReview accuracy and allocation of invoices
\nPerform reallocations for incorrect invoices.<\/p>\n
\nInvestigate any possible over\/under accruals and amend future calculations methods, processes or information to ensure accurate accruals.
\nEnsure all reversing journals reversed correctly from previous month.
\nIdentify previous accruals that were not invoiced and perform re-accruals calculations and journals.
\nValidate monthly information received by reviewing control indicators.
\nIdentify any discrepancies and investigate the root cause with source systems
\nCalculate revenue amounts to be accrued and perform the relevant journals.
\nCalculate unearned revenue release or deferral at month end.
\nCalculate and account for any relevant discounts.
\nPrepare reconciliations for reported revenues with external sources.
\nInvestigate any discrepancies and alert Financial Reporting team with any late adjustments to revenue figures.
\nUnderstand budget revenue number and identify relevant drivers.
\nAnalyze current month revenue numbers against budget and prior month figures.
\nProvide logical explanations for movements against budget and prior month figures.
\nPopulate supporting information relating to revenue and cost drivers.
\nPerform reconciliations for relevant General Ledger accounts
\nPrepare weekly cash flow forecast information
\nPrepare comment report based on an analysis of actual figures for the month.<\/p>\n
\nAnnual assessment of the written procedures\/ instructions with the need of the activity and eventually promote the updates on the system<\/p>\n
\nIFRS disclosure tables under responsibility
\nProviding detailed analysis on complex transactions and contracts
\nPopulate supporting information relating to revenue and cost drivers.
\nProvide logical explanations for movements against budget and prior month figures.
\nEnsuring that the internal controls implemented are adequate and are continually assessed and improved
\nResponsible for timely submission of audit information<\/p>\n
