Job Title: Senior Financial Reporting Analyst<\/strong> Job Sumamry:<\/strong> Financial analysis and Management Reporting:<\/strong><\/p>\n Preparing financial analysis aimed at understanding the current and expected performance of the company. Such analyses are done in the context of actual performance against plans (Budgets) and forecast and drilling on key problem areas to understand root causes. Financial Accounting:<\/strong><\/p>\n Prepare Reporting related journals, including consolidation journals. Financial Reporting:<\/strong><\/p>\n Supporting the preparation of financial reports such as: Data Integrity and automation<\/strong><\/p>\n Ensure that final numbers reported are correctly reflected in the Cell C ERP system (Oracle and Workiva). \nDuties & Responsibilities:<\/strong>
\nTo support the timely and accurate financial and management reporting processes and rigorous analysis. Represents the department in the company, if required, and coaches and supports the development of junior assigned to him\/her.<\/p>\n
\nIdentifying and exploring possible solutions to issues impacting financial performance.
\nInvestigating and answering questions within the scope of the role\u2019s responsibility.
\nGathering and validating the integrity of information from different sources (systems and departments) required for financial analysis. Such information include operational KPIs and financial data such as:
\nIncome Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow performance and articulate this in the Monthly Management Report (MMR), Investor, Shareholder and other ad-hoc reporting.
\nIdentify trends and provide appropriate commentary.
\nResponsibility for Capex, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow variance analysis against budget\/forecast and prior periods.
\nReview significant Balance Sheet accounts to verify the outputs and understand variances affecting financial reporting.
\nProvide support to the Budgeting and Forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with the Business Plan.<\/p>\n
\nReview complex transactions for appropriate IFRS application including changes in accounting policies.
\nGather supporting information for the preparation of Annual Financial Statements.<\/p>\n
\nAnnual, Quarterly and Monthly financial reports including reporting to Blue Label Telecoms,
\nManagement, shareholder and investors reports
\nProduct Profitability reports such as product, tariffs, channel, IT and NW platforms profitability
\nCost Center reporting.
\nMonitor the activity within operational finance and other relevant areas of the business to ensure that the transactional processing is completed according to predefined timelines for group reporting.
\nReviewing the financial reports, identifying and correcting inconsistencies between different data sources, identifying trends, providing appropriate commentary, and ensuring an appropriate level of insight on the performance of the company.<\/p>\n
\nParticipate in automation of MMR and AFS in Workiva (Reporting Platform). Contribute to the improvement in automation of new reports where appropriate.
\nMonitor the changes between systems, additions of general ledger accounts and update the mappings to reflect the most up to date data<\/p>\n
\nSupport the preparation of information requested for the Cell C Recapitalisation project.
\nSupport the preparation and audit of the Cell C financial reporting for half year and Year end
\nProvide support to the external tax consultants where needed
\nPrepare regulatory returns as requested by the relevant authorities (ICASA, SARB, StatsSA, etc.)<\/p>\n
\nReinforce the following interdependencies:<\/strong>
\nOperational Finance (Accounting team): Processing of accounting transactions. Obtain information for financial reporting disclosures.
\nCorporate Finance: Produce Investor and ad-hoc reporting upon request. Obtain information to support preparation of financial statements
\nBudget & Forecasting: Interact to understand basis of preparation of budget to assist variance analysis<\/p>\n
