Parts purchasing and Procurement Specialist Position \u2013 Commercial Vehicles
\nBased in Midrand
\nA major player in the global transport world and an international leader in the development, manufacture, marketing and servicing of a vast range of medium, heavy and extra heavy commercial vehicles is seeking to employ a experienced incumbent who has the ability to do basic coaching and on-the-job training and many other things based on parts purchasing and procurement.<\/p>\n
The successful candidate must have:
\n\u2022 Matric
\n\u2022 Inventory Management Diploma
\n\u2022 3-5 years Automotive experience
\n\u2022 Technical background would be advantageous
\n\u2022 Experience with Parts Purchasing-local and overseas
\n\u2022 Good Planning and Stock control abilities
\n\u2022 Knowledge of Remanufactured components<\/p>\n
Main Purpose of the job:
\n\u2022 Local Parts Procurement
\n\u2022 Overseas Parts Procurement
\n\u2022 Back order refill for all company suppliers
\n\u2022 Company systems inbound data integrity
\n\u2022 Refill of company Parts Distribution Centre
\n\u2022 Follow-up on outstanding inbound shipments<\/p>\n
Key result areas are as follows:
\n\u2022 Parts Procurement Local
\nUse Purchase proposal created in operating system and expedite inbound orders<\/p>\n
\u2022 Dealer Back orders
\nReview daily dealer back orders and procure from suppliers
\nPlease orders on supplier systems
\nTrack and expedite dealer back orders<\/p>\n
\u2022 VOR Log
\nManage local VOR log for parts
\nOrder on suppliers
\nProvide ETA<\/p>\n
\u2022 Refill of PDC
\nMaintain communication links with central Italy refill department
\nCommunicate new model launches, campaigns, excess demands and old vehicle demands
\nIdentify and communicate potential stock outs
\nIdentify and communicate local challenges and provide solution<\/p>\n
\u2022 Inbound Shipment
\nManage all inbound shipments, by expediting and creating a working data base<\/p>\n
\u2022 Database
\nManage all procurement data in operating system<\/p>\n

\n\u2022 Customer satisfaction-focused
\n\u2022 Problem solving skills, especially in inbound logistics
\n\u2022 Good telephone etiquette
\n\u2022 Able to perform under pressure
\n\u2022 Able to identify parts and interpret technical drawings
\n\u2022 Experience with report-writing
\n\u2022 Manage self-development
\n\u2022 Ability to do basic coaching and on-the-job training
\n\u2022 Computer Literate especially in MS Office<\/p>\n
