Ongoing Job Vacancy &#8211; Apply Now!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Telecommunications client is looking for a Splicing Technician to be based in their Durban branch<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Splicer-Technician (DBN) (HLR7778)<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong> Durban<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Summary:<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Duties &amp; Responsibilities:<\/strong><br \/>\nSplicing Technician<\/p>\n<p>To build and maintain a resilient and stable fibre network, in a cost-efficient way, ensure customer excellence and skill transference through knowledge sharing.<br \/>\nSplice new customer up on network, as per splicing instructions (SI)<br \/>\nBuild the link as per SI and obtain ref from planning dept. if there are any changes on SI<br \/>\nReturn splicing instructions As Build and pack to Project Manager\/Project Leader<br \/>\nRestoration of Breaks (MTTR) and network availability<br \/>\nFault find and restore breaks in the quickest time possible and within the set SLA agreement.<br \/>\nMaintain shortest timelines between temporary and permanent repairs: Use shortest time to get client to work (to meet SLA)<br \/>\nOTDR Analysis<br \/>\nHealth and Safety Compliance<br \/>\nRegular inspection and maintenance of business tools<br \/>\nOversee and mentor Assistant Splicer<\/p>\n<p><strong>Desired Experience &amp; Qualification:<\/strong><br \/>\nN3 Certificate or equivalent of Grade 12<br \/>\n3 years&#8217; technical experience in the Optical Fibre environment (Construction and Maintenance)<br \/>\nMust have a valid clean driver\u2019s license with &lt; 3 years driving experience<br \/>\nKnowledge of Environmental, Health and Safety Management regulations pertaining to fibre optic installations<br \/>\nKnowledge and understanding of ICT industry is essential<br \/>\nKnowledge of test equipment (OTDR) and Health and Safety is recommended<br \/>\nProblem solving individuals with a competitive nature will stand out above the peers<br \/>\nRegistration as an FOA Splicer (5-day course) is highly recommended<br \/>\nComputer Literacy<br \/>\nGood working knowledge of MS Outlook and other applicable software.<\/p>\n<p><strong>To Apply:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pnet.co.za\/viewlets\/apply\/job-apply-form-viewlet\/authentication?listingId=3558111&amp;isMobile=false&amp;buttonPos=Sticky_Button&amp;locale=en_ZA&amp;rltr=&amp;source=listing\"><strong>Click Here!<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Telecommunications client is looking for a Splicing Technician to be based in their Durban branch &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Job Title: Splicer-Technician (DBN) (HLR7778) Location: Durban Job Summary: Duties&#8230;..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1353,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_is_tweetstorm":false,"jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":true,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","enabled":false}}},"categories":[35,1],"tags":[],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.5 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>Helen Lucre Resourcing (Pty) Ltd.
