Required skills:
\nThe position forms part of the Industrial Security Team, supporting the Service Level Agreement as well as projects. Duties include:
\n\u2022 Scheduled maintenance activities and preventative systems maintenance checks on SQL database and EBI applications.
\n\u2022 Programming as custom applications using VS.Net 2003, 2005 & 2008 as well as SQL (Store procedure, Views etc.)
\n\u2022 Light current electrical faultfinding.
\n\u2022 EBI Tema hardware configuration, commissioning and fault finding.
\n\u2022 Honeywell smoke detection systems configuration, commissioning and fault finding.
\n\u2022 Honeywell gas detection systems configuration, commissioning and fault finding.
\n\u2022 Honeywell CCTV and Digital Video Management configuration, commissioning and fault finding.
\n\u2022 Honeywell BMS & HVAC configuration, commissioning and fault finding.
\n\u2022 Microsoft operating system knowledge.
\n\u2022 Excellent Communication skills \u2013 oral, written and presentation (English).
\n\u2022 Experience working in a demanding customer-facing environment to perform under pressure.
\n\u2022 Must be self-motivated, enthusiastic, well organized and have a strong sense of responsibility<\/p>\n
Education and experience:
\n\u2022Electrical\/Electronic\/IT S4 Diploma or Engineering Degree or equivalent technical qualification.
\n\u2022At least 2 \u2013 3 years technical experience or exposure in the security field.
\n\u2022Experience working in a demanding customer-facing environment to perform under pressure preferably a Petro-Chemical environment<\/p>\n
Key performance areas:
\n\u2022 Maintain the Honeywell systems on Site as part of the Service Level Agreement (SLA)
\n\u2022 The preparation, implementation and reporting of system & application deployments and updates
\n\u2022 The management and optimisation of systems and correcting and preventing failures
\n\u2022 Work as part of the Service team on planned and unplanned activities
\n\u2022 Occasionally required to work with project staff on projects as allocated by Service Lead
\n\u2022 1st line incident and problem management
\n\u2022 Basic system maintenance and management activities. Work conducted in accordance with the instructions of the client in the agreed time, with high quality and profitability.
\n\u2022 Prepare a roadmap for performing the tasks. All preparations made in accordance with work procedures and policies
\n\u2022 Identify, discuss and manage the risks and impact on the automation process and stakeholders
\n\u2022 Compatibility of hardware, software and process control operations on standard system configurations
\n\u2022 Take pro-active initiative to strive for quality excellence
\n\u2022 Adhere to all applicable Honeywell Quality Assurance (QA) and service management procedures\/methods
\n\u2022 Interface with TAC where applicable for the roll out of solutions to installed base
\n\u2022 Perform standby and respond to call outs as required.
\n\u2022 Maintain documentation WRT plant modifications, changes, etc.<\/p>\n
