Job Title: SYSTEMS ANALYST I, IT RETAIL OPERATIONS GROUP SYSTEMS<\/strong> Job Summary:<\/strong> Understand and translate business requirements into quality system solutions and ensure optimal system performance and stability through support and continuous improvement. This is a permanent position based at the Head Office in Cape Town City Centre.<\/p>\n Job description:<\/strong> o Interpret and provide input to translate complex business requirements into business requirement definitions and specifications<\/p>\n o Analyse and evaluate required system enhancements<\/p>\n o Analyse existing systems and interfaces for modification \/ improvement purposes<\/p>\n \u2022 Design new or enhanced systems to accommodate business needs<\/p>\n o Participate in the process design or re-design and translate business \/ user requirements \/ processes into a system design<\/p>\n o Design system enhancements<\/p>\n o Change systems specifications based on testing problems \/ changing requirements<\/p>\n o Design interfaces with other systems<\/p>\n o Provide input to deployment plans based on designs<\/p>\n \u2022 Testing of proposed solutions<\/p>\n o Develop system test plans for system and integration testing<\/p>\n o Perform systems testing and integration testing, and feedback results<\/p>\n \u2022 Participate in the implementation of new solutions to ensure successful integration into current environment<\/p>\n o Manage the creation and hand-over of the system administration procedures<\/p>\n o Participate in the post-implementation reviews for completed projects<\/p>\n o Ensure SME input during the implementation process<\/p>\n \u2022 Support current solutions<\/p>\n o Resolve user queries<\/p>\n o Ensure the stability of the existing systems environment<\/p>\n o Provide input to programming support teams<\/p>\n o Provide functional leadership and guidance<\/p>\n \u2022 Collaborate with and support ITS and the Business<\/p>\n o Integrate with relevant business and IT stakeholders<\/p>\n o Provide system input to design of user training material<\/p>\n o Provide operational support to the business area<\/p>\n o Provide knowledge transfer and support to team members<\/p>\n \u2022 Create and maintain documentation<\/p>\n o Develop and maintain all relevant SDLC documentation<\/p>\n o Document, publish and maintain system design (new system developments and enhancements) and all interfaces with other systems<\/p>\n Minimum requirements:<\/strong> \u2022 Minimum 5 years relevant IT experience<\/p>\n \u2022 May be required to perform standby duties<\/p>\n Additional Criteria:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 Retail experience advantageous<\/p>\n \u2022 Experience or understanding of warehouse management systems.
