Job Title: IP Provisioning Engineer (IP\/MPLS\/Telecoms)<\/strong> A large fbre based ICT organisation with Head Office in Bryanston is looking to employ an IP PROVISIONING ENGINEER in their JHB office to provision all IP and MPLS customer service contracts on the IP\/MPLS network.<\/p>\n Job Summary:<\/strong> Configuration:<\/strong> Change management:<\/strong> Reporting:<\/strong> Desired Experience & Qualification:<\/strong> Degree holder in Electrical \/ Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications or related fields.
\nLocation: <\/strong>Bryanston<\/p>\n
\nDuties & Responsibilities:<\/strong>
\nInventory
\n? Inventory and capacity utilizations.
\n? Customer IP inventory management.
\n? Product templates\/Provisioning templates.
\n? Value added services.<\/p>\n
\n? Provision standard and non-standard customer services to meet the committed SLA using inhouse tools, vendor GUI interfaces and manual CLIs.
\n? Coordinate and communicate effectively with cross functional, global teams on non-standard or expedited orders.
\n? IP address management and RIPE database updates.
\n? Prioritize provisioning work tasks and manage escalations effectively.
\n? Test provisioned services before customer turnover.<\/p>\n
\n? Implement network administration processes and procedures.
\n? Review of agreed process and procedures and suggest improvements through change management.
\n? Coordination with various internal and external stakeholders in assigned construction & acceptance testing and new product\/service
\n? Recommend quality improvement measures to processes and procedures.
\n? Perform migration of IP customer services, in cooperation with customer and field services teams
\n? Support network change maintenance and service migration.<\/p>\n
\n? Monitor and highlight traffic trends during implementation for proactive planning and to avoid congestion.
\n? Undertake periodic network audit and manage the as-is customer inventory.
\n? Periodic performance analysis of supplier and vendor feedback on improvements
\n? Support the development and implementation of new service offerings by providing system tools development feedback and documentation writing.<\/p>\n
\nMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:<\/strong><\/p>\n
\nIP certifications: CCNA and\/or JNCIA or better
\n4 to 6 years of experience in Telecoms networks domain
\nExcellent written and verbal English and local languages skills
\nExcellent people management skills for customer and 3rd party contractor support
\nWell Conversant with all Telecom Service Provider Operational functions and Processes
\nExperience working with Cisco, Mikrotik and Juniper hardware
\nHave good understanding of Optical Transmission & IP technology
\nExperience to interact and work with engineers in telecommunications domain under different time zones
\nExperience in the OA&M of IP\/MPLS technologies
\nExperience in Operations Support functional experience<\/p>\n
