Our focus is continuous improvement in safety, health and environmental performance in order to achieve zero harm.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Electrical Technician<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong> Gauteng<br \/>\n<strong>Salary:<\/strong>\u00a0Market Related<br \/>\n<strong>Job Type:<\/strong> Permanent<br \/>\n<strong>Sectors:<\/strong>\u00a0Manufacturing\u00a0General<br \/>\n<strong>Reference:<\/strong> 59390<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vacancy Details<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Purpose of the role is to perform planned services, repairs and maintenance on Forklifts and components in accordance with supplier standards and customer requirements.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Performance Areas:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>Understand and implement preventative maintenance<\/li>\n<li>Identify and target opportunity for customer work<\/li>\n<li>Fault finding<\/li>\n<li>Assemble IC and Electric machines in accordance with BHBW and Hyster standards<\/li>\n<li>Fit Telematics black boxes to the machines<\/li>\n<li>Assist with the loading and unloading of containers<\/li>\n<li>Partake in new machine stock take as and when required<\/li>\n<li>Complete the PDI process and sign off new machines<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of supplier warranty systems, policies &amp; procedures<\/li>\n<li>Quickly and efficiently diagnose machine systems and carry out repairs, services, and maintenance on forklifts on customer sites or at BHBW site<\/li>\n<li>Provide mentorship to apprentices assigned to you<\/li>\n<li>Maintain professional image when representing BHBW<\/li>\n<li>Control own admin (labour booking, service reports, part returns, expenses etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Follow through to ensure that quality and productivity standards of own work are consistently and accurately maintained<\/li>\n<li>Maintain a safe working environment (according to safety policy and procedures)<\/li>\n<li>Adherence to any reasonable instruction<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualification, Experience and Competencies Minimum Qualification:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>Grade 12<\/li>\n<li>Qualified in relevant trade (e.g., Auto Electrical)<\/li>\n<li>Driver\u2019s license \u2013 Code B<\/li>\n<li>Valid forklift license<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Minimum Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>Do you have experience on working of forklifts and earth moving equipment<\/li>\n<li>3-4 Years in the same position<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Competencies:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>Sound interpersonal and communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Basic trouble shooting and problem-solving skills<\/li>\n<li>Machine specific technical knowledge and skills<\/li>\n<li>Technical report writing<\/li>\n<li>Basic business and financial understanding<\/li>\n<li>Applicable product knowledge<\/li>\n<li>Customer orientation<\/li>\n<li>Able to work under without supervision<\/li>\n<li>Good knowledge of hydraulics<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to work overtime and standby<\/li>\n<li>Good auto electrical knowledge would be an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work on all types of fork trucks including Big Trucks<\/li>\n<li>Have a good selection of tools<\/li>\n<li>Teamwork<\/li>\n<li>Computer literate and basic understanding of forklift software<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.careers24.com\/login\/?returnurl=\/jobs\/apply\/2016828\"><strong>Click Here!<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:<\/strong> December 31 2023<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>At BHBW, we care about our people and the environment we operate in.
