Purpose of the Job<\/strong><\/p>\n To manage, direct and take responsibility for the formulation of the IT enterprise architecture strategy and its implementation and alignment through defining the enterprise\u2010wide IT architecture, mapping IT capabilities to business requirements.<\/p>\n Implement the IT strategy principles (e.g. technology, process flow governance and target system\/service performance KPIs) and drive compliance<\/p>\n Manage the evolution and transition of the enterprise architecture in response to changing business demand.<\/p>\n Key Duties & Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n 1.Process Architecture<\/p>\n \u2022Review, enhance and continuously improve departmental end\u2010to\u2010end business processes<\/p>\n \u2022Govern departmental processes and drive compliance<\/p>\n \u2022Govern the flow of information to achieve coordinated exchange and storage of technical information and documents at dept level<\/p>\n \u2022Review, simplify and improve customer applications\/services and internal business process and (business logic and rules etc) for customer<\/p>\n \u2022experience and business process improvement<\/p>\n \u2022Align application and systems process with business processes and drive achievement of target KPI\u2019s.<\/p>\n 2.Application architecture<\/p>\n \u2022Develop application structure and coding standards, transactional and error logging standards, exception<\/p>\n \u2022Handling standards to guide internal application development<\/p>\n \u2022Provide technical leadership, guidance and support in the deployment of complex applications in<\/p>\n \u2022distributed computing systems.<\/p>\n 3.Data Architecture.<\/p>\n \u2022Develop a master data management strategy (governance and process) to be adopted and implemented within all IT systems and domains<\/p>\n \u2022Define the function of a master data hub (e.g. contains data business rules and policy management for customer, product data, price\u2010plan structure, commissions data etc)<\/p>\n \u2022and govern the flow of systems data<\/p>\n \u2022Govern the development of a transactional data architecture model (e.g. customer and product data<\/p>\n \u2022hub\/CID) in the Enterprise Integration domain in line with the master data management (MDM) strategy<\/p>\n \u2022Guide the development of the enterprise data warehouse and data loading and extraction process (e.g. using the customer and product data<\/p>\n \u2022hub\/CID) in the MIS domain in line with the master data management (MDM) strategy.<\/p>\n \u2022Govern access to data source systems by all IT systems e.g. Commissions and ERP (all data access for queries and updates to be validated<\/p>\n \u2022through a data hub. No direct interfaces to source systems )<\/p>\n \u2022Develop a data consolidation, de\u2010duplication and clean\u2010up plan as required for data migration (e.g.<\/p>\n \u2022required for the IT GTM technology strategy implementation)<\/p>\n \u2022Develop a data synchronization process for ongoing and data integrity and maintenance<\/p>\n 4.Integration Architecture<\/p>\n \u2022Develop and implement an enterprise integration strategy<\/p>\n \u2022Inform the technology and vendor selection of the integration architecture solution<\/p>\n \u2022Plan and guide the implementation of SOA architecture and services<\/p>\n \u2022Develop a capacity planning model for the enterprise integration architecture<\/p>\n \u2022Guide the performance tuning exercise for the integration architecture<\/p>\n \u2022Achieve target KPIs for the integration architecture<\/p>\n 5.Infrastructure Planning and Management<\/p>\n \u2022Unix, Wintel and Storage systems planning, capacity planning and infrastructure lifecycle management<\/p>\n \u2022Environment planning for development, testing and production (DEV, PPD, PRD)<\/p>\n \u2022Develop technical specifications for network and IT network and service management solutions (OSS)<\/p>\n 6.Staff Management :<\/p>\n \u2022Recruit employees; assign and direct work, oversee their development, identify training needs and maintain staff competence.<\/p>\n \u2022Establish and evaluate Key Performance Indicators.<\/p>\n \u2022Provide an advisory and support function.<\/p>\n \u2022Initiate the appropriate Labour Relation action required within section.<\/p>\n \u2022Uphold HR policies and procedures.<\/p>\n \u2022Conduct performance appraisals<\/p>\n 7.Health and Safety Compliance<\/p>\n \u2022Strictly apply and adhere to Cell C Health and Safety procedures and rules.<\/p>\n \u2022Manage conformance to Legislation and Cell C Health, Safety and Environmental standards.<\/p>\n \u2022Manage, identify and minimize Cell C\u2019s exposure to operational risk.<\/p>\n \u2022Monitor, investigate and report all health and safety matters and incidents.<\/p>\n \u2022Ensure the appointment of the SHE representative, First-aiders, evacuation marshals<\/p>\n 8.Perform any other related duties as requested by Management.<\/p>\n Skills & Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022Extensive experience in writing positions papers and recommending new technologies to be invested in.<\/p>\n \u20225 + years experience in technical and business; ideally in GSM and \/ or IT Technical and Services Architecture environment.<\/p>\n \u20225 + years Senior Management Experience<\/p>\n \u2022Experience in research and assessment of NGN technologies.<\/p>\n \u20225 + years experience in integration of new technologies to existing IT architecture.<\/p>\n \u2022Experience of the product and software life cycles in a commercial environment.<\/p>\n \u2022Experience in application of different methods and techniques to ensure effective evaluation of new technologies.<\/p>\n Educational Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n B.Sc \/ B. Eng \/ B. Tech or related Degree.<\/p>\n Added Advantage<\/p>\n B.Com or related business qualification, with (preferred) specialization in business information systems, (preferred) systems architecture, (preferred) business strategy, technology management or CRM<\/p>\n A management qualification and preferably a MBA.<\/p>\n
