You will be responsible for assessing, monitoring, and optimizing the expenses associated with packaging materials and processes. Your expertise in cost analysis, vendor management, and packaging optimization will contribute to our overall operational efficiency and profitability. This role requires a strong analytical Mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with various teams.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>Analyse and evaluate packaging costs on each order, including materials, labour, equipment, and transportation expenses. Identify cost-saving opportunities, recommend strategies, and implement measures to improve packaging cost efficiency.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and manage packaging cost budgets, forecasts, and cost control measures. Monitor spending against budget, identify variances, and implement corrective actions as necessary.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with procurement and supplier management teams to establish and maintain strong relationships with packaging material suppliers. Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to ensure competitive costs and quality standards.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with various departments such as operations, logistics, quality control, and marketing to understand packaging requirements, ensure timely delivery, and align with business objectives.<\/li>\n<li>Stay up to date with packaging regulations, industry standards, and sustainable packaging practices. Implement measures to ensure compliance with regulations and promote sustainable packaging initiatives.<\/li>\n<li>Lead and supervise a team of packaging cost analysts, providing guidance, mentoring, and support.
