Our background has proved to be invaluable in providing a high standard of recruitment, screening, evaluation and placement of candidates.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Engineering Test Technician<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong> Somerset West<br \/>\n<strong>Salary:<\/strong>\u00a0Market Related<br \/>\n<strong>Job Type:<\/strong> Permanent<br \/>\n<strong>Sectors:<\/strong>\u00a0Engineering<br \/>\n<strong>Reference:<\/strong> SW004191\/AM<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vacancy Details<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>My client based in Somerset West is seeking to employ a Senior Engineering Test Technician to join their team.<\/p>\n<div class=\"v-descrip\"><strong>Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/div>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>The Engineering Test Technician will test engineering prototypes, including data acquisition and processing of production batteries.<\/li>\n<li>Integrating systems including AC\/DC high and low voltages, structural components, and firmware.<\/li>\n<li>Provide careful, detail-oriented documentation during tests, and inspections.<\/li>\n<li>Communicate technical questions and findings in a concise and descriptive manner<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and monitor the test programs for high-voltage batteries on the test bench<\/li>\n<li>Follow test programs for high-voltage battery systems based on standard regulation set out by the company<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with engineering teams and production managers to identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.<\/li>\n<li>Wiring of line replaceable items<\/li>\n<li>Assembly at system level and integration at system level<\/li>\n<li>Assist in fault finding<\/li>\n<li>General engineering assistance when technical assembly skills are required<\/li>\n<li>Assist in training and supervision of learner technicians<\/li>\n<li>Install, maintain, repair, test and commission electrical equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Factory acceptance testing on the production line off the High Voltage battery range<\/li>\n<li>Creating documentation for test procedures and test results for the above-mentioned products<\/li>\n<li>On site commissioning and repairing off the above-mentioned products<\/li>\n<li>Assisting with the development and testing of new products which may include working on SMD component level with measuring instruments such as multi-meters and oscilloscopes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements include:<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>Electrical trade \/ Wiremans license (for South Africa) \/ Electrical Engineering (BTech \/ MTech)<\/li>\n<li>3-5 years\u2019 relevant experience<\/li>\n<li>Experience of a manufacturing environment<\/li>\n<li>3 Phase alternating current<\/li>\n<li>Electrical production line (High voltage advantages)<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge in General electronics, Lithium cells and Mechanical<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skills and Abilities required:<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>Demonstrate mechanical aptitude \u2013 Practice disassembly and reassembly of electromechanical systems without instructions<\/li>\n<li>Experience with standard electronics lab tools including AC\/DC meters, data acquisition, AC\/DC power supplies<\/li>\n<li>Experience making wiring harnesses by way of soldering, crimping, following wiring diagrams etc.<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of physics and engineering fundamentals<\/li>\n<li>Methodical and diligent, works with a strong sense of quality and craft<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.careers24.com\/VacancyApplication\/ExternalApplication\/2042640?appResponseMethodId=2&amp;applicationUrl=https%3a%2f%2fwww.placementpartner.co.za%2fwi%2fsubmit_cv_form.php%3fid%3dhelderbergpersonnel%26vacancy_ref%3dSW004191%2fAM%26source%3dcareers24\"><strong>Click Here!<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:<\/strong> August 12 2023<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Based in Somerset West, Helderberg Personnel was established in 1998.
