(Financial services industry advantageous)<\/li>\n<li>TOPP Articles (outside of Audit)<\/li>\n<li>Strong financial accounting background<\/li>\n<li>Exposure to preparing annual budgets, cash flow planning etc.<\/li>\n<li>Financial reporting \u2013 management account reporting as well as annual IFRS financial statements<\/li>\n<li>Compliance legislation<\/li>\n<li>General financial management<\/li>\n<li>Interaction with senior and executive management<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>SKILLS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Technical competence:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>IFRS technical knowledge<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>Taxation (preparation of income tax, deferred tax computations, interactions with revenue authorities etc.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>Consolidations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Fund structuring<\/li>\n<li>Strong project management skills \u2013 ability to prioritise, manage multiple projects\/tasks simultaneously (multi-tasking)<\/li>\n<li>Prepare presentations, reports, policies<\/li>\n<li>Computer Literacy MS Office (advance excel and PowerPoint a must)<\/li>\n<li>Management and financial reporting systems<\/li>\n<li>Analytical skills<\/li>\n<li>Problem solving abilities<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication skills \u2013 written and spoken<\/li>\n<li>Able to operate under pressure<\/li>\n<li>Deadline and performance orientated<\/li>\n<li>Motivated<\/li>\n<li>Driven individual<\/li>\n<li>Team player<\/li>\n<li>Attention to detail &#8211; ensuring high quality output<\/li>\n<li>Strong work ethic<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>KNOWLEDGE<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Project Management in professional space<\/li>\n<li>Technical competence:<\/li>\n<li>IFRS technical knowledge<\/li>\n<li>Taxation (preparation of income tax, deferred tax computations, interactions with revenue authorities etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Consolidations<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of financial services industry (incl Private Equity, Hedge funds) preferable.<\/li>\n<li>International exposure\/experience would be advantageous<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Duties<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Assist the CFO with below:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Finance management function, including, amongst other aspects:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>Financial reporting &#8211; prepare monthly management reports, review of monthly income statement, balance sheet and reporting to executive of both manager and funds.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>Assist with the accounting functions, investment assessment, financial and capital efficiency planning, procurement, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>Tax compliance and planning \u2013 responsible for tax computations (income, Vat, CGT), monthly, yearly and adhoc filings. Preparing and attending to correspondence from tax authorities etc. &#8211; Tax planning<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>Budget preparation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>Cash management, forecasting and treasury functions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>Banking oversight<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Compliance including FSB, BEE Codes, CIS etc.<\/li>\n<li>daily, monthly and quarterly accounting processes and procedures;<\/li>\n<li>developing, implementing and maintaining efficient cost control and internal control systems.<\/li>\n<li>External audit &#8211; prepare for and assist external auditors in respect of operational, year end audits.<\/li>\n<li>Project managing ad hoc projects as applicable.<\/li>\n<li>month end consolidation, monthly and year to date accounts, review reconciliations, review journals, etc.;<\/li>\n<li>preparation, completion and submission of relevant statutory returns;<\/li>\n<li>Maintain statutory, secretarial and regulatory records;<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with external service providers (accounting providers, administration providers, tax advisors, legal advisors, compliance service providers etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Updating fund performance reporting (daily, weekly, monthly) and providing input into the weekly investment team meetings<\/li>\n<li>Assist with fundraising investor presentations and current investor presentations;<\/li>\n<li>Preparing the submissions for the Annual BBBEE verification to retain current ratings;<\/li>\n<li>Ensure Fund audits are completed timeously and successfully.;<\/li>\n<li>Prepare client due diligence reports timeously;<\/li>\n<li>Assist with compliance submissions to the FSCA;<\/li>\n<li>Assist with preparing quarterly board presentations;<\/li>\n<li>Assist with ad hoc projects;<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with investors on queries;<\/li>\n<li>Providing ongoing support to other executives as well as the research team<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.careers24.com\/VacancyApplication\/ExternalApplication\/2043404?appResponseMethodId=2&amp;applicationUrl=https%3a%2f%2fwww.dittojobs.com%2fjobs%2fview%2f2439999083%3fsource%3dcareers24\"><strong>Click Here!<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:<\/strong> September 12 2023<\/p>\n<p>Please note only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
