Presently, we are on the lookout for an experienced Procurement Manager to join one of Africa\u2019s largest distribution platform organisation based in Kenya.<\/p>\n<p>We are in search of a dedicated individual to serve as the main liaison between our company and suppliers. Your role will involve efficiently procuring products and goods for our organization. This includes identifying potential sources for suppliers, meticulously screening them, and skilfully negotiating favourable payment terms. Your efforts will ensure a smooth and efficient supply chain for our company&#8217;s needs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities (not limited to):<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>Lead efforts to implement sourcing strategies and enforce compliance at the regional level.<\/li>\n<li>Lead and manage company-wide implementation, deployment and compliance to the procurement processes and tools;<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to sourcing activities, procurement projects, vendor management and agreement management;<\/li>\n<li>Negotiate, implement and review contractual arrangements with suppliers to deliver the company&#8217;s cost savings targets;<\/li>\n<li>Build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with key vendors within the category group;<\/li>\n<li>Suggest and implement necessary tools and contribute consistently towards expenses reduction;<\/li>\n<li>Lead and ensure the effective achievement of functional objectives of procurement by managing performance, developing and motivating team, so that their individual and collective performance is of the required standard and meets the current and future needs of the business;<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to maintaining internal control standards and implementation of all audit recommendations.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for providing support, training, and guidance to junior and\/or new team members.
