{"id":87893,"date":"2023-08-15T09:30:53","date_gmt":"2023-08-15T07:30:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=87893"},"modified":"2023-08-16T10:47:01","modified_gmt":"2023-08-16T08:47:01","slug":"faircape-group-holdings-current-job-opportunity-apply-now-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/faircape-group-holdings-current-job-opportunity-apply-now-2.html","title":{"rendered":"Faircape Group Holdings Current Job Opportunity &#8211; Apply Now!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Faircape Group constitutes a group of companies with interests in a number of activities including Healthcare, Retirement Holdings, Telecommunications, and an ISP, Utility Management and infrastructure installation, Property Management, and related activities.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Accountant<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong> Cape Town<br \/>\n<strong>Salary:\u00a0<\/strong>Market Related<br \/>\n<strong>Job Type:<\/strong> Permanent<br \/>\n<strong>Sectors:<\/strong>\u00a0Accounting<br \/>\n<strong>Reference:<\/strong> 66383<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vacancy Details<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Faircape Group has an exciting opportunity for an\u00a0Accountant.\u00a0The successful applicant will be responsible for the management of the full management Accounting function,\u00a0Cashbook, and Payment functions of various entities within the group.<\/p>\n<p>This is a fantastic opportunity where growth and challenges are guaranteed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duties include but are not limited to the following:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>Responsible to produce monthly management accounts for various entities, including balance sheets, income statements, and supporting schedules<\/li>\n<li>Ensure Management Accounts packs are correct, and that due date deadlines are met<\/li>\n<li>Review Budget Vs Actual variances and report on any variances<\/li>\n<li>Reconciliation and reports of various company accounts with regards to cash flow<\/li>\n<li>Prepare audit packs, and liaise with auditors regarding annual financial statements<\/li>\n<li>Submission of statutory returns for VAT<\/li>\n<li>Review of payments for correct allocation and VAT treatment<\/li>\n<li>Weekly \/ daily review of all cashbooks, invoicing, debtors age analysis and assist in the management of the credit control process<\/li>\n<li>Authorisation of payments on the banking portal<\/li>\n<li>Investigate Expense variance, and add as notes to Income Statement schedules<\/li>\n<li>Respond to and follow up on accounts queries<\/li>\n<li>Respond to ad hoc projects, queries and analyses thereof<\/li>\n<li>Provide support to the Financial Manager<\/li>\n<li>Review of the system of internal controls and management and promotion of more effective management systems<\/li>\n<li>Produce accurate monthly management accounts in terms of agreed timelines<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Completed tertiary qualification in Accounting<\/p>\n<p><strong>Experience and Knowledge:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>Proven experience in commercial \/ corporate \/ operational environment<\/li>\n<li>Or 4 years of experience as an Accountant in a commercial \/ corporate \/ operational environment<\/li>\n<li>Solid knowledge of financial processes, systems and related laws<\/li>\n<li>Must have been responsible for managing accounts to balance sheet and income statement<\/li>\n<li>Must have been responsible for ensuring that accounts are accurate and meaningful, and information contained in the accounts is accurate and relevant.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skills and Attributes<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>Computer literate (experience in Google Drive, Sheets and Docs preferable)<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Able to perform under pressure<\/li>\n<li>Must be accurate<\/li>\n<li>Attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Proven organisational skills<\/li>\n<li>Able to perform manage deadlines and meet them<\/li>\n<li>Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously<\/li>\n<li>Responsible, accountable and dedicated<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Specific Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>Solid and positive references<\/li>\n<li>Clear health record<\/li>\n<li>Clear credit record<\/li>\n<li>No criminal record<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We offer Barista produced coffee available all day to all our staff at Claremont.<\/p>\n<p>Normal working hours are Mondays to Fridays from 08h00 until 17h00 with a 45-minute lunch break.
