The purpose of the role is to provide continuous timely, effective, qualitative inputs into financial and business decision-making at a tactical\/ operational level and the completion of financial and management accounting reports together with the analysis thereof and the day to day execution of financial related activities.<\/p>\n
Required outputs : Functional<\/strong><\/p>\n Provide input towards implementation and maintenance of best practice accounting frameworks, standards and governance (locally and globally where applicable) Provide and present financial and statutory reporting and analysis that is insightful, accurate and timely Provide input and execute the development, implementation and improvement of the financial accounting business processes and financial systems in the business Required outputs : Technical<\/p>\n Minimum 2 years experience in the management accounting environment Extensive technical experience in finance and accounting Working knowledge of SAP Personal Attributes
\nAddress ineffective management of the accounting processes in the Business Unit<\/p>\n
\nProvides guidance to cost centre holders in the compilation of budgets \/ forecasts
\nProduce variance analysis between budget, forecast and actuals highlighting potential risks and escalate where necessary<\/p>\n
\nEnsure business processes and systems design alignment with audit and SOX requirements
\nCalculates and presents product cost using business assumptions
\nPlans, organises and controls work and project plans
\nEnsure work and project plans meet technical\/professional objectives
\nConduct monthly General Ledger reconciliations with necessary follow up actions
\nAccurate cash flow forecasts presented
\nRequest system changes and enhancements based on business requirements to optimise use and functionality of financial systems
\nIdentify and implement value adding initiatives to be adopted and supported by the business
\nLiaises with external and internal auditors and co-ordinates reports
\nMaintain personal culture of accounting compliance in the business
\nEnsure all processes within responsible areas are documented and current
\nShares knowledge, networks and collaborates with colleagues and other teams
