The purpose of this position is to oversee the maintenance of warehouse and labour-management systems and may be involved in operating automated storage and retrieval systems.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>Matric\u00a0with<\/li>\n<li>Tertiary qualification in warehouse\/logistics- desirable<\/li>\n<li>5 years\u2019 experience in warehouse, automotive industry- Essential<\/li>\n<li>Must have previous Warehouse Supervisor\/Manager experience<\/li>\n<li>Show ability to understand and grasp issues thrust upon him\/her in the warehouse and to be able to come up with solutions that meet the branch manager\u2019s expectations.<\/li>\n<li>Management skills: planning and prioritizing the work of others, controlling projects.<\/li>\n<li>Clearly assigning responsibility for tasks and decisions.<\/li>\n<li>Setting clear objectives and measures.<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring process, progress, and results.<\/li>\n<li>Must have a good understanding of all the legislation, example the Health and Safety Act, Labour Relations Act, the Basic Conditions of Employment act, the Employment Equity Act etc.<\/li>\n<li>Must have a good understanding of warehouse and logistics management and have a \u201chands on\u201d operating style.<\/li>\n<li>Strongly Computer literate<\/li>\n<li>Decision making skills: initiate actions, take decisions, make recommendations in the warehouse.<\/li>\n<li>Negotiating skills: can negotiate skillfully in difficult situations with internal and external groups. Can settle differences. Can win concessions without damaging relationships. Can be direct and forceful as well as diplomatic<\/li>\n<li>Business acumen: know how business work. Knowledgeable in current warehouse and logistics practices, trends and information affecting the organization<\/li>\n<li>Understanding and ability to communicate effectively and conduct business in an appropriate professional business manner.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work with management effectively and co-operatively above and below and analytical skills<\/li>\n<li>Clear criminal record<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Performance Indicators includes, but not limited to.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Warehouse<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop and implement stock control policies<\/li>\n<li>Managing the reconciliation of stock, monitor and report stock variances.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring that the warehouse is operating effectively.<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring daily stock counts, identifying problems, shortages in shipments etc, investigating and taking corrective action thereon.<\/li>\n<li>Accounting for stock losses and ensuring effective controls are implemented to prevent stock theft.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure turnaround and lead times are adhered to by constantly monitoring performance by addressing and reporting poor performance.<\/li>\n<li>Supervise inbound parts as well as unpacking, checking of products.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible to oversee the distribution of stock as per allocation.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure shipments are received, checked, allocated and distributed to branches within the prescribed time frame.<\/li>\n<li>Handle all items returned for credit (RFC\u2019s) daily<\/li>\n<li>Handle parts returned to suppliers at least once a week<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Management\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide leadership and guidance to direct reports when required at Warehouse.<\/li>\n<li>Evaluate performance of direct reports by conducting performance reviews.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring that all processes, procedures and working conditions fall within legal requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Define warehouse goals and objectives along with methods and measurements to achieve such goals.<\/li>\n<li>Develop subordinates in all facets of warehouse functions<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for the supervision of the drivers, vehicle maintenance and distribution routes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Other<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Show ability to understand and grasp issues thrust upon him\/her in the warehouse and to be able to come up with solutions that meet the branch manager\u2019s expectations.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.careers24.com\/login\/?returnurl=\/jobs\/apply\/2068715\"><strong>Click Here!<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline: <\/strong>September 30 2023<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Equity Statement<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>At Motus we are committed to Employment Equity when recruiting internally and externally.
