PeopleFinder was founded by industry veteran Wallindi Schirnig, who has worked both within HR departments for leading companies and also within an out-and-out recruitment agency, so she combines insights and experience from \u201cboth sides of the fence\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Debtors Clerk<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong> Johannesburg<br \/>\n<strong>Salary:<\/strong>\u00a0Market Related<br \/>\n<strong>Job Type:<\/strong> Permanent<br \/>\n<strong>Sectors:<\/strong> Accounting, Manufacturing, Environmental<br \/>\n<strong>Reference:<\/strong> 2071088<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vacancy Details<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our client requires the services of an accurate Debtors Clerk to process and monitor incoming payments, and securing revenue by verifying and posting receipts.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key performance areas:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Managing client account details<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>Confirmation of correct PO numbers for facilities<\/li>\n<li>Liaising with client to update and manage PO database<\/li>\n<li>Recording and managing accurate contact information for clients<\/li>\n<li>Classifying and managing client categories<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sales Support<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>Liaising with sales department to proactively respond to repeat sales<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Invoicing and statements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>Capturing daily and monthly invoices<\/li>\n<li>Preparing and distributing invoices, statements and debtors\u2019 aging report to clients, both monthly and upon request<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining a record of dissemination of paper invoices and statements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Debt Collection<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>Sending payment reminders to clients<\/li>\n<li>Calling customers to chase outstanding debt<\/li>\n<li>Establishing, following-up and generating a summary report on promises to pay<\/li>\n<li>Liaising with clients i.e. attending to customer queries on payments,<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Payment Reconciliation<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>Receiving disbursement reports, payment remittances and proofs of payments<\/li>\n<li>Capturing payments from debtors to all bank accounts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Debtor\u2019s Control &amp; Debtor\u2019s Book Management<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>Follow up on company debts by telephone, email and any other means available<\/li>\n<li>Send invoices, statements and reminder letters to debtors<\/li>\n<li>Liaise closely with the financial controller to ensure debtors\u2019 prerequisites for payment are in place<\/li>\n<li>Investigate and resolve queries relating to non-payment of invoices<\/li>\n<li>Negotiate and implement repayment schedules and terms.<\/li>\n<li>Review collection queue to perform collection activities accordingly.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor slow moving accounts to identify delinquent debts and take necessary action to recover the debts.<\/li>\n<li>Close a specific number of collection accounts each month to meet assigned targets<\/li>\n<li>Maintain debtor\u2019s book to ensure that the debt status is accurate<\/li>\n<li>Reduce the outstanding debt owed to the company and reduce debtors\u2019 days<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Debt Escalations<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>Assist the company to take legal action against debtors by providing necessary information.<\/li>\n<li>Follow legal requirements during debt collections to avoid legal issues.<\/li>\n<li>When necessary liaise with solicitors and bailiffs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reporting, Policies &amp;
