In this job, you\u2019ll work closely with maintenance to help decide which maintenance work to order for. That means you\u2019ll need to understand and compare technical quotes and negotiate over prices based on those quotes and the work being done. You\u2019ll also need to make sure everyone sticks to the agreed terms and deal with any penalties. Plus, you\u2019ll keep an eye on how much money is being spent and find ways to get the best quality work without going over budget. You\u2019ll select suppliers that fit the company\u2019s goals, chase down any orders that haven\u2019t arrived, and handle any questions about accounts. <\/span>The perfect fit for this job should have a degree or diploma in Purchasing Management, and it would be a bonus if they have some technical know-how.
