The purpose of this position is to ensure that basic Dis-Chem merchandising standards are properly executed and maintained. Your responsibilities will also lie in providing excellent customer service.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Minimum Requirements:<br \/>\n<\/strong><strong><u>Essential:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>Grade 12 \/ Matric<\/li>\n<li>Up to 6 months\u2019 retail experience<\/li>\n<li>Computer literate \u2013 MS Office<\/li>\n<li>Willing and able to work retail hours<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Advantageous:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>At least 1 year retail experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u><br \/>\nJob Description:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>Restock merchandise as needed to ensure maximum sales<\/li>\n<li>Ensure delivered stock\/stock pulled from the storeroom, is stored and packed in the correct space timeously<\/li>\n<li>Ensure stock on shelves has not reached sell-by date<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the full range of products is on the shelves at all times<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate rotation of stock on a regular, FIFO basis<\/li>\n<li>Report low stock levels, out-of-stock items, damaged stock and expired stock to management<\/li>\n<li>Assist with counting of stock files and general stocktaking<\/li>\n<li>Adhere to Dis-Chem\u2019s operating standards, store layout and planograms<\/li>\n<li>Ensure boxes are flattened after unpacking stock, and taken to the designated area<\/li>\n<li>Ensure front shop shelves and products are neatly presented and visible at all times, with correct labels and pricing<\/li>\n<li>Report all price discrepancies to management<\/li>\n<li>Keep abreast of current and new products<\/li>\n<li>Ensure merchandising displays are built, faced up, stocked and maintained<\/li>\n<li>Maintain daily physical upkeep of store and merchandise displays, and be responsible for your designated stock in the storeroom as well as on the shop floor<\/li>\n<li>Assist with loading and off-loading of stock<\/li>\n<li>Ensure items without barcodes are clearly marked<\/li>\n<li>Assist with back shopping<\/li>\n<li>Assist in training of new staff<\/li>\n<li>Provide friendly, helpful and courteous assistance and advice to all customers<\/li>\n<li>Ensure all out of stock queries from customers are followed up with the customer service out of stock list<\/li>\n<li>Ensure all customer stock queries are dealt with and resolved<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the correct uniform and badge are worn at all times<\/li>\n<li>Minimise any losses by handling all merchandise carefully<\/li>\n<li>Adhere to Dis-Chem policies and procedures, SOPs and health and safety rules and regulations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u><br \/>\nCompetencies:<br \/>\n<\/u><\/strong><strong><u>Essential:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>Strong command of the English language<\/li>\n<li>Presentable<\/li>\n<li>Effective engagement with customers, management and staff<\/li>\n<li>Trustworthy and honest<\/li>\n<li>Time management<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Advantageous:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>Bilingual<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of merchandising standards and the FMCG industry<\/li>\n<li>Product and category knowledge<\/li>\n<li>Ability to analyse ZMORE reports for ordering and stock taking<\/li>\n<li>Report bad\/suspicious behaviour relating to both staff and customers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u><br \/>\nSpecial conditions of employment:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>Willing and able to work retail hours<\/li>\n<li>Able and physically fit to lift and move heavy boxes, and ensure health and safety standards are adhered to<\/li>\n<li>Reliable transport and\/or reside in close proximity to the store<\/li>\n<li>South African Citizen<\/li>\n<li>Clear credit and criminal records<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u><br \/>\nRemuneration and benefits:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>Market-related salary<\/li>\n<li>Medical aid<\/li>\n<li>Provident fund<\/li>\n<li>Staff account<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.careers24.com\/login\/?returnurl=\/jobs\/apply\/2082226\">Click Here!<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:<\/strong> November 17 2023<\/p>\n<p><u><br \/>\n<\/u><u>ONLY SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS WILL BE CONTACTED.
