The Ideal Candidate needs to have 5+ years of experience in design and development (Background in defense industry preferred) and must hold a BEng \/ BSc Engineering Mechanical or Mechatronics qualification.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Functional:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0Working as part of the R&amp;D team to provide technical solutions by applying good engineering skills.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Designing and developing new products for the defense industry<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Understand customer, market and product needs.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Using appropriate engineering techniques, such as simulations, mock-ups, models and prototypes developing a thorough understanding of the behavior of proposed solutions.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Create production drawings and data-packs using CAD (Solid Edge)<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Identifying deficiencies in mechanical processes and developing improvements<\/li>\n<li>Analyzing and testing of prototypes<\/li>\n<li>Developing, initiating and managing all phases of projects<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Preparing documentation of critical analysis and providing suggestions for correcting errors<\/li>\n<li>Collaborating with Project Managers for proper allocation and tracking of resources<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Administrative:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Knowledge and experience of Engineering Processes and methodologies<\/li>\n<li>Good analytical, organization and problem-solving skills<\/li>\n<li>Strong interpersonal skills<\/li>\n<li>Experience in producing engineering documentation<\/li>\n<li>Good technical report writing skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to tackle complex problems<\/li>\n<li>Good verbal, written, communication and presentation skills<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Ability to interface with clients, suppliers and sub-contractors<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Candidate Requirements\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Skills and Competencies<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong interpersonal skills<\/li>\n<li>Technical leadership<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Required Minimum Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>BEng \/ BSc Engineering Mechanical or Mechatronics.<\/li>\n<li>5+years\u2019 experience in design and development (Background in defense industry preferred).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Salary: <\/strong>Market related \u2013 to be discussed in the interview<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.careers24.com\/login\/?returnurl=\/jobs\/apply\/2064667\"><strong>Click Here!<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline: <\/strong>November 11 2023<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Only candidates who meet all the minimum requirements stipulated in the advert will be considered.
