Details<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>An industry leader in the cosmetic industry which is based in the Gauteng Province and within the Longmeadow area, is recruiting for an experienced and skilled Senior-level graphic designer<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cost to Company:<br \/>\n<\/strong>R 240 000.00 per annum<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Experience<\/strong><br \/>\nThe successful incumbent must possess at least five (5) years\u2019 experience in terms of performing the functions and responsibilities of a senior level graphic designer, including working with team members to optimally achieve the Company\u2019s objectives and targets.<br \/>\nExperience within the cosmetic sector will be beneficial.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>R<\/strong><strong>esponsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>Understand project requirements and concepts<\/li>\n<li>To produce and craft original and usable concepts in response to creative briefs.<\/li>\n<li>To present work internally and externally in a clear and professional manner.<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with relevant account teams, ensuring effective communication and management of the team&#8217;s expectations<\/li>\n<li>Work with account teams to understand the client&#8217;s brand and manage projects in a way that will support the delivery of the brand<\/li>\n<li>To manage and take ownership of projects from origin to completion<\/li>\n<li>Accurate recording of work time<\/li>\n<li>Use various techniques to create drafts, models and prototypes<\/li>\n<li>Produce final design solutions (like logos, banners, interfaces,final finishes or roll-out of design concepts)<\/li>\n<li>Pitch creative ideas<\/li>\n<li>Take on special design tasks (e.g. color correction, photoshop, and other skills required to perform refined details of the design function)<\/li>\n<li>Ensure companies management systems are up to date and clear to project members at all times, i.e Asana.<\/li>\n<li>Be able to quickly and effectively take a project from concept to production.<\/li>\n<li>Understand packaging and legal requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Able to conceptualize and develop new brands as well as further develop existing brands.<\/li>\n<li>Contribute thought leadership to marketing efforts and other profit and brand building initiatives<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of printing effects and costs associations.<\/li>\n<li>2D and 3D product renders<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Leadership<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>Disseminate learning through other creative teams and the department<\/li>\n<li>To develop skills and knowledge within yourself through on-the-job development, active participation in the company, and department<\/li>\n<li>Provide feedback regarding improvements that could be made to your team, the department and company<\/li>\n<li>Create clear goals for yourself and your team and set out to achieve your goals<\/li>\n<li>Actively support and involve team members at the appropriate time to resolve issues<\/li>\n<li>Encourage all members to look for collaborative ways to make a great working environment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>Solid foundation in art direction and graphic design<\/li>\n<li>Exceptional design aesthetic that is unconventional yet memorable with a solid grounding in typography<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work across a wide range of categories, being brave and innovative in your design approach<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated track record of managing creative teams and delivering impactful work that is disruptive and boundary-pushing<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience motivating and leading a team and supporting the professional development of young design talent<\/li>\n<li>Determined and ambitious with a clear point of view and a leader inside and outside the organization<\/li>\n<li>Strategic thinking skills and a passion for critical analysis and problem-solving.<\/li>\n<li>A curious and entrepreneurial mindset<\/li>\n<li>Effective communication skills and a natural style of building relationships<\/li>\n<li>Highly proficient in Adobe Creative
