We make it our business to deeply understand the nuances of each of our clients so that we can accurately play \u201cmatchmaker\u201d between candidate and company.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Payroll Accountant<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong> Overberg<br \/>\n<strong>Salary:<\/strong>\u00a0Market Related<br \/>\n<strong>Job Type:<\/strong> Permanent<br \/>\n<strong>Sectors:\u00a0<\/strong>Accounting | Human Resources | Finance<br \/>\n<strong>Reference:<\/strong> 2093754<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><i class=\"fas fa-print\"><\/i><strong>Vacancy Details<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our client, in the Agricultural Industry, requires the services of an ethical, self-motivated and professional Payroll Accountant to oversee and manage the payroll and ensure statutory requirements.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key performance areas:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Payroll processing:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>Reconciliation of payroll system to financial system<\/li>\n<li>Preparation of payroll journals<\/li>\n<li>Applications for tax directives<\/li>\n<li>Calculate and process employee salaries, wages, piece work, bonuses, and other compensation accurately and on time.<\/li>\n<li>Validate timekeeping records and resolve discrepancies.<\/li>\n<li>Process payroll adjustments, including bonuses, overtime, and deductions.<\/li>\n<li>Assist FM with calculation of annual profit-share amounts.<\/li>\n<li>Manage and completion of UI19 documentation.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in CTC calculations for potential candidates.<\/li>\n<li>General query handling.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tax compliance:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>Ensure accurate and timely withholding and remittance of payroll taxes.<\/li>\n<li>Stay updated on tax regulations and make necessary adjustments to ensure compliance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Benefits administration:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>Review all third-party payments and reconciliations.<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with third-party administrators w.r.t medical aid and pension fund.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure accurate and timely withholding and remittance of payroll taxes.<\/li>\n<li>Stay updated on tax regulations and make necessary adjustments to ensure compliance.<\/li>\n<li>Yearly updates on beneficiary information<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Record keeping:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and maintain related employee records.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Compliance:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>Prepare and file payroll-related reports, such as monthly and annual tax returns (EMP201, WCA, EMP501)<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with local regulations governing payroll.<\/li>\n<li>Risk management procedures<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Audit support:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>Assist in internal and external audit related to payroll and employee compensation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Candidate Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The successful candidate must have<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>Matric with a degree in Accounting \/ Finance or relevant qualification<\/li>\n<li>Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation will be advantageous<\/li>\n<li>2 &#8211;
