As the fourth-largest South African coal producer with capacity of 45 million tonnes per annum and the third-largest global producer of mineral sands, Exxaro is a significant participant in the coal and mineral sands markets and provides a unique listed investment opportunity into these commodities.<\/p>\n<p>As one of South Africa\u2019s largest, diversified mining companies, Exxaro is well positioned to grow domestically, and its existing operational interests in Namibia, Australia and China and strong project pipeline provide a base for growth in international markets.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Location<\/strong>: Kwa Zulu Natal (Exxaro KZN Sands &#8211; Empangeni)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Number of Positions Available:<\/strong> 1<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong> Grade 12\/N3 with Maths &amp; Science, electrical &amp; mechanical trade theory<\/p>\n<p>An MQA Accredited Millwright Qualification<\/p>\n<p><strong>Experience &amp; Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience: 3-5 years practical experience in a heavy minerals industry. Plant maintenance and workshop experience will be a recommendation. Experience in the Mineral Sands Industry will be advantagous<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge required: Communication skills, leadership skills, able to work under pressure, individually or as a member of a team, relationship building, and able to work in a team environment.<\/li>\n<li>Personal Attributes required: Planning &amp; organizing, decision making, impact &amp; influence, working to standards, initiative, team work &amp; co-operation, interpersonal relationship, communication, and self confidence<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Performance Areas:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The incumbent will be responsible for:<\/li>\n<li>Performing day to day shift duties as prescribed in the field of the Millwright<\/li>\n<li>Keeping downtime to a minimum during plant operation<\/li>\n<li>Making sound plant and equipment maintenance decisions<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining a safe and healthy work environment and practices<\/li>\n<li>Processing necessary documentation on shift and provide regular and clear feedback<\/li>\n<li>Clean equipment \/ work area<\/li>\n<li>Daily plant inspections<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Other:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The position will be based at Exxaro KZN Sands, Hillendale Mine.<\/p>\n<p><strong>General:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Appointments are dependent on the completion of a successful medical examination and receipt of a valid medical certificate.
