We understand that it\u2019s the power of people and their influence that determines whether our business fails or succeeds.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Title: Business Analyst <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Code: PFS0004 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Closing Date: 31 Jul 2010 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Location: Johannesburg <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Reporting To: General Manager &#8211; Digital Channel<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Context:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Business Analysis role in the gathering business requirements, documenting business requirements, driving implementation, testing, training of users and ongoing support on all Digital Channel initiatives i.e. website development, online applications etc.<\/p>\n<p>Represent the online user to find the balance between an optimal digital experience and the business needs<\/p>\n<p><strong>Customers:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All divisions across Hollard that has an online requirement (and mobi)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Outputs:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Facilitate workshops\/one-to-one meetings with stakeholders across Hollard\u2019s business area<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and obtain approval of Business Specification documentation.<\/li>\n<li>Gather and define business requirements for new applications and changes to existing applications and consulting to business on the optimal user experience i.e. design and layout<\/li>\n<li>Identify and examine business needs and determine timely and effective solutions to business functions and processes<\/li>\n<li>Liaise and communicate between business, digital channel and development teams<\/li>\n<li>Impact analysis to identify and understand risks associated with a project as well as input to risk mitigation strategies<\/li>\n<li>Participate in UAT and obtain sign off for UAT<\/li>\n<li>Participate in ad hoc projects, e.g. process flows, conversions, systems releases<\/li>\n<li>Assistance to business with preparation of business cases<\/li>\n<li>Support project delivery by overseeing application\u2019s development and system integration development and enhancements<\/li>\n<li>Monitor performance of channel and constantly suggest improvements to increase usability and sales\/interaction and provide assistance to users when required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Competencies:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications \/ Work Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree \u2013 preferably B.Comm<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 2 years experience in business analysis &#8211; essential<\/li>\n<li>Experience in drawing up business requirements for online\/web based applications integrating into business systems &#8211; essential<\/li>\n<li>Experienced in Digital Sales Systems<\/li>\n<li>Preferable financial services and\/or banking sector experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Knowledge:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Computer literacy \u2013 High proficiency in Excel &amp; Visio necessary<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of Insurance &amp; Insurance Industry<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of FAIS<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>User focused i.e. online user\/mobi-user<\/li>\n<li>Attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Strong documentation and writing skills<\/li>\n<li>Analytical thinker<\/li>\n<li>Negotiation skills<\/li>\n<li>Conflict resolution skills<\/li>\n<li>Strong verbal and written communications skills<\/li>\n<li>Excellent planning, organising and facilitating skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Personal Qualities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Passion for\u00a0 the digital environment i.e. internet savvy and keeping abreast with latest technologies<\/li>\n<li>Proactive<\/li>\n<li>Achievement orientated<\/li>\n<li>Deadline driven<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work under pressure<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work in a team<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hollard.co.za\/vacancy_application\/PFS0004\">Apply Online Now<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hollard is South Africa\u2019s largest independent and privately owned insurance group.
