RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/u><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><u><br \/>\n<\/u><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><u>Deliverable 1: Sourcing &amp; Selecting of Suppliers:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>Scope and understand products and \/ or service requirements and criteria from business unit operations and stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li>Research criteria (considering any current products and services) include conducting due diligence around processes, systems and \/ or technological innovations that might impact the use of these services and products in future operations.<\/li>\n<li>Research and benchmark Industry trends around new technologies and innovations to ensure the company products, services and processes remain streamlined and cutting edge and in line with the organisational brand.<\/li>\n<li>Develop detailed sourcing and category plans.<\/li>\n<li>Source and identify suppliers\/products in the field.<\/li>\n<li>Develop criteria documents and category plans to benchmark suppliers.<\/li>\n<li>Invite suppliers to submit proposals in line with criteria.<\/li>\n<li>Compares prices amongst various vendors in order to make sound purchasing decisions.<\/li>\n<li>Shortlist suppliers in line with criteria viz standards, legislation, BEE status, SLAs, and quality specifications.<\/li>\n<li>Co-ordinate and facilitate the tender process (where relevant).<\/li>\n<li>Finalise selection in line with criteria and appoint.<\/li>\n<li>Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers.<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with Group legal to ensure all necessary paperwork is drawn up in line with agreed terms.<\/li>\n<li>Keep documentation and records of the full sourcing and selection process.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>Deliverable 2: Evaluation of Suppliers:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>Develop and communicate Group control standards on process \/ service requirements with suppliers.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct regular monitoring assessments of supplier performance against SLA deliverables.<\/li>\n<li>Make recommendations to reduce Total Cost of Ownership for commodities.<\/li>\n<li>Follow-through on areas of concern to ensure improvement and achievement of SLA.<\/li>\n<li>Build and maintain relationships with suppliers so as to improve products, services, and support; leveraging any opportunities to improve the relationships and reduce spending.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct an in-depth analysis of the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) of selected commodities to identify areas for improvement or reduction in costs; any variances, and anomalies, as well as calculate return on investment of current business relationships.<\/li>\n<li>Present analysis and recommendations to management to influence future products, services, and partnerships.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>Deliverable 3: Procurement:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>Negotiates with contractors on price, mode of shipping, and delivery time.<\/li>\n<li>Orders goods such as office supplies on a continuing basis in order to maintain certain inventory levels.<\/li>\n<li>Obtain quotes, raise purchase order requisitions, and generate purchase orders as may be required.<\/li>\n<li>Checks invoices for accuracy and authorizes the accounts payable department to issue payment.<\/li>\n<li>Works within a given budget to purchase goods and services for the company group.<\/li>\n<li>Register projects in the system and provide reports to business as may be required.<\/li>\n<li>Monitors that products are delivered in a timely manner, and that the quality of the goods received is satisfactory.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>Deliverable 4: Stakeholder Engagement:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>Liaise and maintain regular communication with business unit operations around their expectations, evaluation of current suppliers.<\/li>\n<li>Be proactive in obtaining feedback from business operations around product performance and services being provided by specific suppliers.<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with internal stakeholders as well as external stakeholders on requirements \/ tender selection \/ tender feedback.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain regular feedback with relevant suppliers and partners around expectations, requirements, feedback, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct market research and conduct competitor analyses around latest trends and opportunities in the field.<\/li>\n<li>Present findings and recommendations to management at both a business unit and Group level.<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with Group legal around contracts management and records.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>Deliverable 5: Completed Procurement Analytics &amp; Reports:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>Make use of analytics and interpretation of business intelligence data to facilitate business decisions around customer preferences and feedback on products and services.<\/li>\n<li>Interpret and present results to business, providing insights out of data to support the business in making decisions around products and new business services and opportunities.<\/li>\n<li>Reconcile discrepancies between the expectations of management and information presented in reports.<\/li>\n<li>Complete the following monthly reports:<\/li>\n<li>Work in Progress report.<\/li>\n<li>Project update.<\/li>\n<li>Preferential Procurement Report.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u><br \/>\nQUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:<\/u><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><u><br \/>\n<\/u><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><u>Qualification:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>4 Year B Degree in Supply Chain Management \/ Project Management \/ Procurement Management.<\/li>\n<li>CIPS qualification would be preferred.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>Experience:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>At least 5 years related experience in a similar position, preferably within the Gaming\/Hospitality industry including IT sourcing experience.<\/li>\n<li>Preferential procurement, strategic sourcing, and benchmarking experience.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in the use of QlikView and\/or other BI tools for reporting and analysis.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with IFS ERP would be a distinct advantage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>Accreditation:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>Membership with the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>Work conditions and special requirements:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>\u00a0May be required to work overtime to meet deadlines.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>Key Stakeholders:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li><strong>Internal:<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Functional Heads of departments, Unit Financial Management team, Project Managers, Group Finance Team;
