Duties will include but not be limited to the following:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Operational Management<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Provide input to strategic plans of the section by compiling comprehensive operational plans, converting the Department into an enabler of the business strategy of the organisation.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Responsible for the annual Long-Term Plan (LTP) update, delivering an annual Medium-Term Plan (MTP) Budget plan which is in line with the LTP and operational objectives, to optimise the push back strategy, equipment application, waste dump strategy and infrastructure constraints.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Compliance, Risk, and Safety<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Conduct regular pit visits to ensure safe mine operations that adhere to all mine and legal regulations.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Advise corrective actions and ensure interventions are implemented, providing solutions to performance gaps on any deviations to procedures.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Continuous Improvement and Optimisation<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Optimise and continuously improve the overall planning cycle and ensure each component of the planning cycle is executed in such a way that interfaces are managed.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Improve company profitability by using enhanced mine planning and execution techniques, ensuring mine plans meet and exceed plants quantities and qualities requirement.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Data Analytics and Reporting<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Update the Resource Reserve statement to provide a current illustration of the minerals of interest within the orebody.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Financial Management<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Comply with all financial, Supply Chain Management (SCM) and other regulations and policies of the company by facilitating the right actions, to reduce financial risk in the Department.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\">\u00a0<\/span><strong><span lang=\"EN-GB\">People Management<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Create and maintain a conducive work environment by appropriately applying Human Resources policies and procedures to ensure optimum performance is realised for the benefit of the Department and, by extension, the organisation.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Lead the team according to the client\u2019s leadership principles and values throughout the entire employee life cycle to ensure high performance culture.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Stakeholder Relations<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure information, advice or opinions on relevant matters is made available and\/or communicated with all relevant stakeholders.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Required Skills<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"mb-0 bullet-list\">\n<li>Financial Management<\/li>\n<li>Operations Management<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Candidate Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Minimum Requirements:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Must have an Engineering Degree (NQF7) in Mining<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">A minimum of 10 years\u2019 experience as a Long and Medium Term Mine<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Planning Engineer in open pit, technical planning environment<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Competency in Deswik, Talpac and XPac packages is advantageous<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">CAD, GIS, and Survey related packages is advantageous<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.careers24.com\/login\/?returnurl=\/jobs\/apply\/2121024\"><strong>Click Here!<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:<\/strong> April 06 2024<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lusapho Professional Services has highly skilled set of talents that are built on referral and successful partnerships.
