Our branches are located in major centres in South Africa, Namibia, Swaziland and Botswana and are managed as either corporate, joint venture or franchise stores.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Cash and Bank Manager &#8211; Shared Services Cape Town<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong> Western Cape<br \/>\n<strong>Salary:<\/strong>\u00a0Market Related<br \/>\n<strong>Job Type:<\/strong> Permanent<br \/>\n<strong>Sectors:<\/strong>\u00a0Accounting<br \/>\n<strong>Reference:<\/strong> 2067908501<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vacancy Details<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><b>Introduction:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The main purpose of the job is to manage the cash and bank cycle within the Corporate Shared Service Centre, to ensure that all cash and bank related transactions are accurately recorded, verified, and reconciled in compliance with accounting principles and internal policies.<\/p>\n<p><b>Description:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To lead, develop, motivate, and manage the performance of a team of cash &amp; bank staff and ensure an optimally skilled, motivated, and high-performance team.<\/li>\n<li>Oversee the day-to-day cash and bank activities, ensuring timeous and accurate recording of transactions, in compliance with accounting principles and regulations and the Group\u2019s financial policies and procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Final review and sign-off of monthly bank reconciliations.<\/li>\n<li>Review monthly reconciliations of bank control accounts and reports (balance sheet review).<\/li>\n<li>Preparation of cash flow forecasts for the SSC.<\/li>\n<li>Monthly reporting<\/li>\n<li>Manage SSC bank administration requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Provide support to internal and external auditors as far as it relates to the banking transactions.<\/li>\n<li>Identifying and implementing process improvements to increase operational efficiency and effectiveness.<\/li>\n<li>To uphold and promote the company values and culture.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Requirements:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in accounting, finance, or related field<\/li>\n<li>Completed articles would be an advantage<\/li>\n<li>At least 5 years of experience in a cash &amp; bank role, at least 3 of which in a management role<\/li>\n<li>Experience in working in a shared services environment or managing a very large accounts payable team<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.careers24.com\/VacancyApplication\/ExternalApplication\/2120886?appResponseMethodId=2&amp;applicationUrl=https%3a%2f%2fthebuildingcompany.mcidirecthire.com%2fExternal%2fApplication%3fRef%3dCPiABrO%252bW1FqkEla86WU7bj0wMcoJ4JUEq%252fPQZeC5kCiVP36VFNQeUFi%252bXtdaivp5Z4dqKsQlP%252fYjPug5FHWZapCFEnS6la4lzYMozHWj3Q%253d\"><strong>Click Here!<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:<\/strong> April 20 2024<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Building Company is the Southern African operations building material division of Pepkor.
