We are actively seeking an individual who can join the Property and Buildings Team as a BIM Manager to assist our Senior BIM Manager in their day to day activities, run some smaller multidisciplinary BIM projects, as well as contribute towards a BIM coordination role. This includes BIM Admin roles such as documentation control, BIM general project admin, BIM coordination and clash detection, BIM model coordination and collaboration, etc.

Job Summary:
Over and above the BIM Manager role, it is critical that the individual can perform a BIM Modellers function (i.e. Revit Modelling) from a Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) perspective, but Fire, Wet Services and Electrical experience is essential as well. With reference to the drawing process, they will analyse information (such as measurements and sketches) provided by engineers, architects and other members of a project’s professional team. The BIM Modeller needs to apply their knowledge of design and engineering to illustrate visual instructions that relate technical specifications, including dimensions, arrangements and installation procedures. These drawings will then be used for tendering and construction purposes. Attention to detail and the ability to perform and understand multi service co-ordination is critical.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
—Responsible for design and modelling of HVAC systems, Wet Services, Fire Services and Electrical.
—Responsible for running, coordinating and being Project Admin from a BIM perspective on multidisciplinary projects
—Create and/or modify existing engineering designs and models (if and where required).
—Coordinate and communicate with building owners, clients, consultants, contractors, and project team members (internally and externally).
—Ensure designs and drawings adhere to deadlines. Willingness to work extra hours above normal hours to ensure deadlines are met.
—Site meetings during construction with engineers and contractors for the updating of designs and models.
—Exposure to various industry CAD/ Building Information Modelling (BIM) practice and work cultures (optional).
—Co-ordination of various services (HVAC, Fire, Electrical, Wet Services, Electrical, Structural elements, etc.).
—Responsible and taking ownership of designs and deliverables of tender information.
—Be responsible to managing BIM models and coordinating multidisciplinary services and meetings for clash free models.
—Innovation for BIM purposes and internal operational developments (indication of innovative ideas that is submitted with CV would be advantageous).
—Development of BIM families. (REVIT families)
—Implement and maintain REVIT templates
—Implement and maintain BOQ templates in REVIT
—Willingness to collaborate with the wider BIM community within WSP.
—Interest in implementation of an Augmented reality would be advantageous

Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
—At least 8 years experience in the consulting and building industry.
—Good knowledge and experience with HVAC system, Fire Systems, Wet Services and Electrical.
—Understanding of equipment and service co-ordination of multidisciplinary services.
—Specification of equipment and detailing thereof.
—Ability to co-ordinate with other services (i.e. Structures, Fire, Wet Services, Architectural (internal and external) etc.)
—Experience an array of AutoDesk products (Revit is essential) and a minimum of 5 years’ experience with BIM.
—BOQ experience in the MEP sector will be advantageous.
—Drafting and drawing office experience in the MEP field is essential.
—Knowledge of BIM 360 up to Project Admin Level will be advantageous
