Job Title: Training Officer Kempton Park
Location: Kempton Park, Gauteng, South Africa

Job Summary:
To ensure that strategic training is provided:
•Identify the company’s training needs and develop programs to meet these needs
•Ensure that acceptable training programs are implemented in accordance with the authorized
•Company’s procedures / schedules and practices
•Co-ordinate, facilitates and administrates the company’s e-Learning
•Design training materials in an outcome-based format and source appropriate training programs from external providers
•Assess and evaluate the effectiveness of training on individuals and departments or teams
•Implement, facilitate, co-ordinate and develop on-the- job training when needed
•Facilitate in house and external training designed to impart skills to employees for promotional and productivity purposes.
•Ensure that training is facilitated when needed within the company.
•Constantly identify the needs for improvements in existing training and modify accordingly.
•Monitor training and based on the results, implement new approaches, techniques and programs.
•Compile strategic framework for skills acquisition programs to meet current and future company requirements.

•Ensure that training and development programs support is in line with HR and company strategies.
•Responsible for submission of the work skills report/ plan (WSP / ATR) to the W& R SETA annually.

To ensure that efficient and appropriate training service is delivered:
•Manage traveling logistics (including flights, accommodation etc) for attendees on inductions
•Identify training needs through IDP’s and other methods of conducting skills audit
•Leading and directing training interventions (including the German and Local LMS portal)
•Identify skills gaps in terms of critical skills within the company
•Develop training targets and standard operating procedures (SOP) for identified skills gaps
•Ensure that training supports the company ‘succession plan’
•Liaise with departmental managers to determine skills deficiencies and future training needs
•Ensure that competency assessments are conducted on an on-going basis
•Identify appropriate and cost-effective training solutions to meet skills demands for the company
•Compile and maintain database of service providers relating to training
•Conduct effective due diligence prior to onboarding of training providers
•Ensure course evaluations are conducted before and after training interventions
•Facilitate bursary applications for both internal and external students

Ensure an effective training administration service:
•Manage training documentation and records
•Ensure regular improvements on training and recording of updated information
•Ensures that training materials and instructions are facilitated effectively
•Monthly reporting to the HR manager regarding training activities
•Ensure effective and accurate update of personnel data on the SAP system (HR1)
•Facilitate effective induction programmes

Effective people management of training staff:
•Establish and maintain good relationships with the Training and Marketing teams, Management, existing employees, new recruits, training providers and all stakeholders alike (including SETA’s).
Requirements
•Grade 12
•Training Qualification will be an advantage
•Diploma and/or Degree in Human Resources
•Minimum 3 years’ experience in training, facilitating, moderating and assessing
•Clean disciplinary record
•Good time management skills
•Good communication and negotiating skills
•Presentation, coaching and report writing skills
•Team player, people’s person, task orientated with excellent administrative skills
