1999 – The year of the rabbit, Shakespeare in Love took the Oscar, Ricky Martin caused an excessive amount of dance floor gyration, Thabo Mbeki was sworn in as South Africa’s 2nd democratically elected president andRob Stokes founded a company called Quirk eMarketing.

1999 was a good year for the QuirkStars and the last 10 have seen our digital agency go from strength to strength – from the early days of Email Marketing to the current scope of full business and digital integration.

Quirk has since grown from a one man agency working out of Rob’s home to an international business with headquarters in Cape Town, Johannesburg and London. There are over 200 quirkstars in the 3 offices; with the main production studio being located in Cape Town (the mountain and sea views are apparently essential for creativity).

Our portfolio of clients speaks volumes about the passion we invest in our work and we are terribly proud of how we integrate insights, strategy, creative ideas and technology to push boundaries and achieve killer results for our clients.

The Quirk story has been crafted by many talented and passionate individuals, each adding their own unique flare and specialised knowledge to the melting pot that is Quirk.
We like to call these quirky slices of loveliness the QuirkStars – and the team is made up of smart, creativeand passionate producers, executives, creatives, software engineers, search marketers and researchers.
