Yeast City Housing is the first social housing company in the City of Tshwane and one of the first in South Africa. We operate within the framework of the Social Housing Act. Our mandate is to ensure decent, affordable housing, and to contribute to urban regeneration and social inclusion through well-managed social housing.

Job Title: Community Development Intern
Job Location: Pretoria

The stipend allocated to the programme is R5 000 per month

This is a 12-months fixed term contract from 2018

Requirements:

• A recognised qualification in Community Development Work / Social Work such as undergraduate certificates/diplomas or undergraduate degrees, or postgraduate / higher diplomas or master’s degree
• Advocating and networking
• Research and report writing
• Understanding communities in Social Housing Institutions
• Understanding of social issues
