Yenzani children’s Home is looking for a Program Manager to run their CYCC in Midrand and must be a qualified Social Worker

Job Title: Programme Manager/Social Worker
Location: Midrand, Gauteng

The successful candidate will be a strong and compassionate leader with a passion for children in crisis.

Requirements. Qualifications:

• Minimum of  3 years experience working at a CYCC with proven track record
• Social worker degree with a minimum of 3 years experience with proven track record
• Registered with SACSSP, cleared on Section 29 and SAPS clearance
• Strong leadership and interpersonal  qualities with a friendly disposition
• Excellent work ethic without clock watching
• Excellent report writing qualities
• Fluent in English – speaking and writing
• Excellent computer skills particularly in Microsoft Office
• Full understanding of the Children’s Act and NPO Act
• Experience working with compliance issues with the Department of Social Development (DSD), CPO’s and Children’s Court
• Strong operational and administrative qualities and a basic knowledge of bookkeeping

Duties:

• Daily running of the CYCC and staff management
• Quality control within the CYCC, repairs and maintenance, transport and office management
• Meet reporting deadlines with no compromise to DSD, the board
• Policy writing
• Dealing with sponsors and donors at the CYCC
• Oversee volunteers and community projects
• Chairing staff meetings and attending board meeting when necessary
• Handling social work of approx. 16 children together with CPO’s
• Supervising all aspects of the children’s care including panels, meeting with schools, psychologist and medical practitioners
