Zip Zap Circus is a social circus that was founded in Cape Town in 1992, to inspire young people and help build a new culture of peaceful coexistence in South Africa. Working with a diverse community of children from all backgrounds, Zip Zap helps kids to ‘dare to dream’ and learn to make those dreams a reality.
Job Title: Digital Marketing Co-ordinator
Location: Cape Town
Start date: 2nd March 2020
Reports to: The Graphic Designer & Marketing Co-ordinator will report to the Marketing Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Digital Communications:
- Websites – content management, updates and management of WordPress and Wix sites in South Africa and satellite branches in France, UK and USA
- Oversee the development of a new Zip Zap website on Wix
- Loading and publishing blogs on WordPress and Wix
- Liaison with website hosting companies
- Social Media – (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube) – develop content, social media strategy and manage engagement of communities
- Design and send monthly newsletters on Mailchimp
- Facebook advertising and Google AdWords campaigns
- Photography and videography
- PowerPoint presentations
- Graphic Design:
- Developing digital brochures for Fundraising, Events, Dome Hire
- Design all Zip Zap collateral (Brochures, Flyers, Posters, online banners)
- Annual Report – design, layout, print-ready
- Business Cards, email signatures, vehicle branding, all Zip Zap branding
- Custodian of the Zip Zap brand identity
- Merchandise:
- Source, design and manage the sales of all Zip Zap merchandise
- Marketing Co-ordination:
- Contribution to the overall Marketing Strategy
- Conceptualise creative ideas
- Support all event planning, co-ordination and execution
- Zip Zap Merchandise planning, selling, marketing, stock-taking
- Marketing Dashboard – pulling reports of media monitoring, website stats, social media tracking
- Developing graphs, analytics and research feedback for reporting
- Open to other ad hoc roles & responsibilities
Required:
- Strong communication
- Digital analytics and reporting
- Excellent time management
- Works well under pressure
- WordPress and Wix website skills
- Mailchimp competency
- Well-developed design skills in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop
- Creative thinker who can bring innovative ideas to the table with the ability to translate them into reality
- A willingness to contribute to the team and learn from the team
- Great attitude with a willingness to roll up their sleeves and hit the deck running
- Willingness to work on occasional weekends at Zip Zap shows or presentations
