Data Gathering: Identify the sources to gather information from. Compile and gather the relevant data. Liaise with key individuals to obtain information. Test and implement date source changes where required.

Data Manipulation: Analyse, manipulate and present the data in a manner required for the project or report.

Specify design and build reports according to a wide variety of business needs.

Optimise or redo SAS programme code to ensure maximum efficiency when executing.

Project Reporting: Display the information in a meaningful manner. Compile a report and communicate/present results. Document all findings.

Project Review: Offer advice on feasibility. Share business insights gained in analysis. Make recommendations. Execute action plan changes or amendments. Scope Projects where required.

Thorough understanding of Relational Databases which include ETL (Extraction, Transformation & Loading).

B.Comm major IS – Commerce related / business analysis

B. Comm or Business related degree/ tertiary qualification ie. Diploma in Programming/Data Mining.

2yrs in Financial Services with a further 2 years as a Data analyst / Data Mining Analyst.

SAS Enterprise Guide Programming (min: 3-5 years)

SQL Programming (min 2 years)

MS OFFICE – including Advanced Excel (possibly VB) skills.
