Job Title: IT INFRASTRUCTURE ANALYST
Location: Port Elizabeth

Job Summary:
Duties & Responsibilities:
INFRASTRUCTURE ANALYST

The main purpose of this position is to build and support the Global IT Cloud Infrastructure environment that enables the business to perform their day-to-day activities. Your duties will include, but not limited to, monitoring and assessing the systems, and finding areas that requires upgrading or improvement. You will also focus on handling system emergencies, network communications errors, storage problems, and malfunctioning server platforms. This is a highly technical role where your duties will include hands-on delivery of day-to-day tasks and providing technical guidance to user.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITES:
o Support and maintain applications within the scope of the position
o Comply with standard processes and procedures documentation
o Diagnose and analyse problems in a timely and professional manner
o Execute tasks assigned by team leader or via service requests assigned to team
o Monitor all production application components to ensure high availability
o Contact development teams to assist in incident resolution in relation to system alerts
o Maintaining relationships with key strategic partners and customers
o Identify opportunities for process, systems and application improvements in a dynamic environment architected to solve problems and improve processes

Act as an escalation point for regional IT problems

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

MS Cloud (Azure, Office365, Exchange Online / On-Prem, PowerShell)
Windows Server technologies o VMware / Hyper-V
Active Directory and Azure Active Directory
Basic understanding of GPO (Group Policy)
Azure Resource Manager (ARM)
Windows o Windows Server and Microsoft SQL
Microsoft Office 365 suite o Exposure to Document Management Systems (beneficial)
Understanding of router/switches o Understanding of Firewall Management
Business Process Modelling Notation
General knowledge of software development lifecycle
High degree of initiative, mature judgment and discretion

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
o BSC IT, BTech, or equivalent
o An understanding of SQL Databases (advantageous)
o An understanding of VMware/Hyper-V/Azure
o Understanding of GDPR / ISO27001 / POPI advantageous
