A great mining company in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape is seeking the expertise of a talented Electrician to join their team of professionals.

Responsibilities

• Conduct electrical work which supports maintenance, diagnostics, repairs and installations of mechanical equipment as per planned and un-planned workorders
• Perform planned and un-planned maintenance activities in a timeous and cost effective manner to the correct standard
• Provide feedback to the Foreman on the execution of work for Continuous Improvement of work methods, tools, standardisation and planning
• Perform preliminary failure diagnostics on equipment failures in order to take remedial action
• Identify pro-active maintenance opportunities
• Create requests for spares and materials and interact with stores issuing personnel
• Perform periodic, scheduled Asset Health Checks
• Maintain housekeeping standards

Requirements

• Grade 12
• N4 Certificate in Electrical Engineering
• Electrical Trade Test Certificate
• 5 – 7 years’ experience in a plant or cement environment
