NACOSA is looking for Data Verifiers to support NACOSA’s USAID OVC Programme at various offices in the Western Cape (Delft, Brackenfell, Mitchells Plain, Khayelitsha). The successful incumbent will ensure accountability and efficiency from start to finish for all programmes and projects by conducting an ongoing thorough verification of information obtained from a variety of sources of data submitted from the field. In addition, it is to ensure that all beneficiaries that are enrolled in the program are authentic and have received the reported services. This position is a contract position until 30 September 2021.

NACOSA is a network of over 2,500 civil society organisations working together to turn the tide on HIV, AIDS, TB and GBV in Southern Africa. NACOSA promotes dialogue, builds capacity with accredited training, mentoring and technical assistance and channels resources to support service delivery on the ground, particularly among children and youth, key populations and women and girls. As a principal recipient of the Global Fund and in partnership with USAID and PEPFAR and other public and private sector partners, NACOSA works at all levels – from international agencies and national government, right though to sub-district services and small, community groups. NACOSA acts as a bridge between people and health and social services. NACOSA’s programmes reach around 270,000 people affected by HIV, AIDS, TB and gender-based violence.

 

 

 

 

Job Title: Data Verifier

Job Summary:
Key Performance Areas:
1.Data Verification, Data Quality Assurance, Data Analysis and Reporting:
•Conduct thorough and extensive data verification of all data, including detailed checking of reported data against source documents, to ensure all data captured is accurate and valid
•Assess the accuracy and completeness of the data recorded on the monitoring and evaluation tools (source documents) used by Child and Youth Care Workers (CYCW) collected information from daily implementation
•Conduct telephonic authentication of all beneficiaries and the services rendered to beneficiaries and their Care Givers by CYCW
•Verify all Evidence Based data tools against the recorded registers
•Record all calls made on the reporting Google Tool
•Record the errors that are identified on the error log Google Tool

2.Communication and Coordination:

•Communicate data errors to the Team Leader prior data being captured
•Report all verified files and error files to the Team Leader
•Follow up on all outstanding files that were returned for correction/s or update/s
•Work with Team Leader to keep tally or track of the files coming

3. Administration:

•Manage site office filling system – maintain file storage system after capturing
•Provide general administrative support to the Data Capturer or programmes team as may be required from time to time.

Requirements:
Qualification, Skills and Experience:

•A Matric Certificate (Grade 12)
•At least 6 month – 1 Years’ experience in an administrative position (experience in the Health Care Sector is highly advantageous)
•Exceptional attention to detail
•Ability to demonstrate honestly and integrity in the course of data verification duties
•Ability to work in a team
•Ability to work under pressure according to deadlines
•Passionate about quality, accuracy, and supporting communities
