digital marketing transformation within the MEA region.
In your role, you will be responsible for leading the digital marketing activities within KSA. These will include the overall management
of Nokia (South Africa’s) digital presences across own, bought and earned media
as well as the overall optimization of marketing activities within all of these entities. You will also be responsible for the digital components of the marketing campaigns as well as their integration to the other marketing formats (such as retail, print, TV, OOH etc). You will utilize the given metrics and analytics for decision making/action and will also orchestrate the implementation and usage of efficient CRM tools within the market.
You will be part of the local marketing team as well as the local representative of the extended digital marketing team in MEA. You will manage an external team of agencies in South Africa, to achieve successful digital execution in areas such as:
- Content management & optimization of Nokia.com, Nokia.mobi, Ovi.com, Ovi.mobi
- Efficient management of the different CRM initiatives within the market
- SEO, SEM & SMO
- Behavioural Targeting / re-targeting / AB testing / Creative optimization
- Campaign management/creation
- Digital assets creation / Tagging
- UAT testing/validation/ editorial management
- 1-2-1 channel coordination/optimization
- Digital media planning and optimization across display, search and other digital media formats
- Mastering performance digital media
- Community management / WOM marketing / Social media marketing / Blogging
- Mobile marketing / mobile advertising
- Viral / Guerilla marketing
The list above only scratches the surface of the digital world, but you will also be supported by a larger digital team that is based both on a sales unit as well as global level. We are in search of candidates who already have 8-10 years of work experience in digital marketing and possess a solid track record of successful digital marketing management as well as a thorough understanding of the digital ecosystem as well as the specific South Africa market. Your personal brand in the digital space will weigh more than your CV and your passion will help you take it to the next level in this exciting role.
You will work very closely with multiple entities within the organization; to identify new opportunities/pilot programs for expanding digital marketing activities beyond the tactics utilized today. This work will serve as a test field for identifying best case practices to be rolled out later within larger marketing context.
Relationship with other functions:
–Work closely with sales unti and local cross function marketing teams and sales team to ensure the full sales and marketing alignment
-Work closely with other teams in Markets and Services unit, especially with comms, care and services.
Business Unit Description:
The Marketing Team, South Africa, leads the overall marketing activities within the local sales unit. These functions include the various b2c and b2b related marketing activities across all media formats and touchpoints. This team is led by the Head of Marketing South Africa
The Digital Marketing Team, MEA serves as a hub for the regions’ overall digital marketing activities across own, bought and earned media. Together with the key stakeholders in global and lsu’s, the team is driving
the overall shift into digital within the region. This team is led by the Head of Digital Marketing, MEA.
As Digital Marketing Manager South Africa, you will report into the Head of Marketing South Africa, and dotted line to the Head of Digital Marketing, MEA.
An ideal candidate has 8+ years of working experience from digital marketing and/or digital media, preferably from a large multinational company or online ageny. Previous, directly related working experience is a must as well as an industry recognized track record from the field. A deeply rooted passion for digital, creativity and data should be your foundation. Local market understanding is a must and local language skills will be necessary to successfully master this role.
