BEE – Leading financial institution requires the services of a Senior Marketing Manager for Personal Banking, Customer Service and New Banking – Africa. The successful candidate will develop and implement a Marketing and Communications strategy and plan in support of the above business objectives, as well as manage other critical marketing initiatives and offer marketing support and development to countries assigned to the portfolio.
Key responsibilities include:
Develop and implement marketing and communication strategies and plans in line with company strategies and objectives across current geographies
Ensure that marketing activities contribute to the Africa strategy and drive positive customer perception
Drive alignment of in-country marketing and communications strategy and plans
Drive marketing strategies and plans from ‘awareness’ in country to delivering ‘results’
Ensure that plans and strategies are aligned to and part of the company brand strategy, policy, standards and guidelines
Ensure that all advertising and media complies with the marketing and advertising codes of practise and banking regulations
Assist in formulation and development of internal and external communication strategies and plans
Commission appropriate research to develop relevant client insights
Ensure that trademarks for products, channels, services or offerings are registered or renewed
Accountable to develop a marketing budget to activate agreed plan
Develop and maintain effective and mutually beneficial relationships with country marketing teaks
Leverage off group marketing and communications in order to deliver on marketing strategies and plans according to agreed planning and execution processes
Perform all people management duties related to staff
Ensure effective working relationship with CEO.
Post graduate qualification in marketing
Ten – 15 years experience in marketing, preferably in a global FMCG environment, of which five years should be at Senior Marketing Management level.
Ability to work in and knowledge of key emerging markets.
Leading edge understanding of markets within Africa context, key emerging markets and macro and micro economic drivers in emerging markets
Ability to translate business strategy into marketing and communications plans
Please note: This is strictly a BEE position. The successful candidate will have working knowledge of the African continent markets, and preferably comes from an FMCG background.
