PROFESSIONAL NURSE PN-A2: GENERAL 9 POSTS REF NO: 05130

SALARY : R183 009 per annum (plus benefits)
CENTRE : South Rand Hospital

REQUIREMENTS : Basic R425 qualification i.e. Diploma/Degree that allows registration with the
South African Nursing Council as Professional Nurse. Current registration with
the SANC. Qualification and registration in Psychiatry, midwifery will be an added
advantage.

DUTIES : Demonstrate an understanding of nursing legislation and related legal and ethical
nursing practices. Perform clinical nursing practice in accordance with the scope
of nursing standards as determined by the hospital. Promote quality nursing care.
Implement the six key priorities. Display concern for patients, promoting and
advocating proper treatment and care including awareness and willingness to
respond to patients’ needs. Actively involved in the development, implementation
and maintenance of quality assurance requirements. Demonstrate effective
communication with patients, supervisors and other clinicians including good
report writing. Work as part of multidisciplinary team to ensure good nursing care.
