Job Description
Thorough professional knowledge and specialist individual expertise perform the analysis required for the Adcock Ingram quality control release. This will also include in particular the assessment for the evaluation of new material suppliers, thorough review of the DMF and route of synthesis and recommendation as to comparability of any proposed supplier
Key Outputs
Meeting or exceeding predetermined target timelines
Perform release analysis on raw material samples
Ensure analytical data generated meets all specifications on a daily basis
Develop and write SOP’s
Compliance with SOP’s and other laboratory procedures
Review own and work of other analysts to ensure accuracy and compliance
Cost effective maintenance and timeous calibration and qualification
Ensure careful use of consumables to prevent wastage and maintain sufficient stock level
Ensure a safety stock level is maintained for consumables
Timeous testing of alternate supplier samples against the current supplier, according to
Relevant guidelines and regulatory requirements
Prevent wastage and efficient stock control
Collate all relevant data accurately
Ensure that procedures are maintained in a GLP compliant manner

Qualifications and Experience
National Diploma in Chemical and / or BSc degree, with organic / synthetic chemistry experience
