Fujitsu South Africa has established a reputation for Remote Infrastructure Management and Managed Maintenance services through successful service delivery to blue chip multinationals. Fujitsu is now seeking to further expand this operation through acquisition of new customers within South Africa. Based at our Rivonia Head Office, the successful candidate will provide pre-sales technical support to the Fujitsu sales force on Managed Infrastructure Services to meet sales targets for the region.
Bachelors Degree or equivalent through other qualifications / work experience;
Demonstrable and successful track record in the design of IT Managed Infrastructure Services;
Broad knowledge of IT industry and Infrastructure Services ;
3+ years’ experience in the design of Managed Infrastructure Services;
Experience in Delivery/Implementation in an IT SERVICES environment will be advantageous;
Demonstrable knowledge of Service design considerations and associated processes and methodologies;
Appropriate accreditation / certification (e.g. ITIL).
Analytical and strategic thinking;

Communication skills and stakeholder management;
Ability to influence at executive level both internally and externally to Fujitsu;
Knowledge of Fujitsu and its relevant portfolio;
Service and technical expertise;
Intimate knowledge of trends, technologies and tools associated with IT Infrastructure Services;
Ability to work in a matrix structure either delivering into a bid team or leading a design team, dependent on the specific opportunity;
Ability to work in a team;
Strong negotiation skills;
Excellent sales and presentation skills.
Design of IT Infrastructure Services;
Support sales staff, including preparation of all technical information needed for selling Managed Infrastructure Services;
Works closely with the respective delivery teams to formulate service strategy and pursue continual optimization of the Fujitsu Managed Infrastructure Services proposition.
Extracts and analyses customer requirements to ensure the service meets the customer need at the correct cost point;
Is accountable and responsible for the solution and Fujitsu’s ability to implement and deliver the service as designed;
Is responsible for the development and optimization of all costs for the service;
Is responsible for technical input for proof of concept and business approval meetings and makes a recognised technical contribution;
Identifies, assesses and minimizes risk associated with the service;
Maximises the use of Fujitsu standard portfolio;
Shares knowledge and makes a useful contribution to the knowledge base;
Works with the designated bid teams to deliver winning solutions for qualified opportunities;
Stays abreast of industry trends and the Fujitsu product portfolio;
Configure and size IT Managed Services / coordinate achievement of solution design;
Deliver customer / partner presentations, training and workshops;
Is seen as an expert and thought leader in the area of Managed Infrastructure Services both internal and external to Fujitsu;
Establishes an internal/external business network with customer middle management and technical staff to understand current and future needs and identify new business opportunities.
Key Performance Indicators
Service Designs result in winning proposals;
In conjunction with the respective delivery teams formulates a successful Managed Infrastructure Services strategy;
In conjunction with the respective delivery teams demonstrates ongoing optimization of the Fujitsu Managed Infrastructure Services proposition;
Consistently produces designs, which require minimal rework, following review;
Provides evidence that demonstrates the ability to design a service at the appropriate optimised cost point;
Uses company prescribed processes and methodologies for development of Service solutions and their approvals;
Demonstrates the maximisation of Fujitsu standard portfolio and delivery capability in their designs;
Regular contribution to, and user of, company knowledge repositories and events.
